How do you organize your makeup palettes?

How do you organize your makeup palettes? Share!

I used to keep most of my palettes in a drawer together, but I have my MAC, Inglot, and Urban Decay palettes in their own drawers since I have more of those.

Thanks to Tonnie for today’s question! Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I know you haven’t done a YT video in a long time but could you do a makeup room video showing your organization, the room overall, and what you have in your collection? I would utterly die if you just made that one last video

I only have two palettes, so I just keep them in a drawer with my nail polish and some other cosmetics. As it grows I’ll have to figure out a better system!

My non-MAC palettes are in a storage box but I don’t really organize them as they’re easily recognizable by shape and color. My MAC 15-pan palettes (about 10 or so) are organized by color and labeled so it’s easy to just grab the correct one. I haven’t figured out a god way to organize the 4-pan palettes tho’.

I only have two palettes so I keep them on my desk, one of them is a big palette, 120 shades from Ebay and the other one is the little palette from Beauty UK 🙂

I bought this organizer from The Container Store: http://wanelo.com/p/3183609/cosmetic-organizer-tray-8-compartment-by-kennedy-home-collections (can’t find it on their website currently but I just bought it at the store in Rockville, MD a few weeks ago.)

In the part where you see the thing that looks like the Brow Bar To Go is where I put my MAC Palettes. It fits two 30-pan palettes and four 15-pan palettes (or six-pan blush palettes).

I bought this “lid organizer” from Amazon to hold the rest of my palettes:

It’s holding 13 palettes right now with room for a few more. It doesn’t hold small palettes easily so I keep those in another acrylic organizer.

I have most of my makeup in what I believe is actually sold as a towel cabinet for the bathroom. I have my palettes stored vertically in office supply file stands. Each one holds multiple palettes and you can put a label on the side for identification. Smaller palettes are on top of the larger ones; in my perfect makeup organization world, they would be set up separately, but space is at a premium. I’m not sorting through a stack of palettes stuffed into a drawer and it’s easy to see them and to access them and for me, that’s what’s important.
