Mine should be here today. I have a couple in full size from this set so I may end up gifting the minis of those to friends. But I got the original All-Star 12-pack and it’s absolutely been my favorite Lip Tar set aside from the ever-amazing Primary Pack. Lip Tars last so long and none of my minis from sets are anywhere near out. This one has such interesting, beautiful colors. Very different from All-Stars. I love the variety of nudes for actual nude diversity (Digitalis is my HG nude lip and I recommend it for anyone with very pigmented, mauvey-red lips who wants a light and unique nude) and the amazing shades that work wonderfully on their own or as mixers.

So excited! Hope mine is awaiting me after rehearsal so I can play with it.

Looks like an amazing way to try out more of the range of colours – my only BUT is that I personally would have liked to see some primary colours for mixing, like a blue, yellow black and white, included. I know you can buy that in a set (or at least COULD at one point) but around the holidays would be a great time to put those in a set like this.

I guess this is more of a “ready to wear” type deal eh?

The Primary Park was unfortunately a limited edition. I would love it if OCC made it permanent. Aside from the original All-Stars Mini set, the Primary Pack is my favorite and a great investment for customization fiends. It came with Tarred (black), Feathered (white), Traffic (yellow), NSFW (red), and Rx (blue)+brush in case anyone wants to recreate it in full-sizes.

I love the idea of this set! (and will probably get it), but were four nudes really necessary? I feel like they could’ve thrown in a couple of fun colors (pool boy and rollergirl come to mind) to make it more interesting.

I like the nudes. The last 12-set wasn’t very nude heavy and this time around there’s enough nudes to cover tons of skintones and offer wide mixing options. The nudes in this set are more interesting IRL than they are on paper. Rollergirl is very similar to Hoochie, so that’s probably why they avoided it (though that’s one of my favs too). But I definitely always agree that more color would be great! Pool Boy would have made an excellent addition. Nylon, Harlot, Hoochie, and Vintage are all definitely bold. A Stained Gloss would be cool too. Pool Boy, Beta, or a bright gloss like Androgyne would be nice.

I think this mini set is a great idea. I bought one of the three mini sets that came out earlier in the year. I feel like with the OCC lip tars you are never going to get through one and they are a product that requires commitment if you are going to wear it so I rarely pull them out. But with the minis, you can justify owning them a little bit more, I think. 🙂

I’m not wild about this. I love Lip Tars in sets–I mean, they were DESIGNED for mixing, so unless the color is really worth the extra effort, I find that single Lip Tars are usually less desirable for everyday use than a traditional lipstick. For the purpose of mixing, I wish they had included a wider range of colors. These actually don’t seem that exciting to mix with each other IMHO. If they made a rainbow set, I would gobble that up. Also just as an aside, I have two mini sets and the tubes seem to be of a lower quality, more brittle plastic than full sized Lip Tars. It’s not a deal breaker, but it is super disappointing if they happen to crack.

Mine arrived right before I have to leave for rehearsal. I’ve already started playing and have added some full-sizes to my wishlist. I’m wearing Sebastian right now and it is just gorgeous. I swatched Interlace, Anikka, and Cha Cha so far to compare and each one is lovely. They do blend together very well too. Lots of possibilities. So far the tubes feel very full, the Tars are coming out smoothly and consistently, and there has been no separation of pigment in any of mine. Digitalis, Hoochie, and Harlot each come out and look like their full-sized counterparts. I’m in love already. I wish I could get en extra 😛

I already have a bunch of lip tars and have been able to mix my perfect shades of reds and plums from them. This set is tempting, but since you use so little, I will probably have 10 years worth of lip tars !

There’s some more sets on their site and Sephora as well. On the OCC site there’s a gloss set, a nude set (Super Neutrals from the Pro Pick’s line so full-sized), and a pink set. On Sephora there’s a pencil set, at least three newer Test Tube 3-sets, plus a bunch of the older sets. Hope you find something you like!

I’d love to have these. I wonder if Sephora here will have any holiday extras from brands they aren’t stocking normally. One can only hope.
I try my best to avoid having to pay customs, it’s never fun, and adds a lot to the cost of whatever I get, and the post takes some $10-15 for handling.
I only have one liptar, NSFW, I like it, but I find it a bit tricky having to have a brush with me when I go out.
