NYX Powder Blush Photos & Swatches (Part 1)

NYX Powder Blush

NYX Powder Blush ($5.99 for 0. oz.) comes in 27 shades (at least, that’s what I counted on their website), and I recently purchased 12 shades to swatch and (possibly) review. Not sure when/if I’ll have a chance to review all of them, but I know I’ll have a few reviews, at least. I can, however, promise you photos and swatches. 🙂 You’ll also find these have been added to the Swatch Gallery/The Dupe List features! Now, let’s take a look at the first six…

Apricot is described as a “pink peach with gold shimmer.” It’s a warm-toned, medium-dark pink coral with a satin finish. The gold shimmer is very subtle in this shade. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Summer Peach is described as a “peachy pink with gold reflects.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-coral with a semi-matte finish. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Pinched is described as a “coral pink with gold iridescence.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-coral with a soft golden shimmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Peach is described as a “matte baby pink.” It’s a medium-dark, subtly warm-toned pink with a satin-matte finish. (Why is it called PEACH!) See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Cinnamon is described as a “matte bright orange.” It’s a medium-dark, red-toned orange with a satin finish. I wouldn’t call it matte, as when it blends out, it develops a soft sheen–subtle but there. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Rose Garden is described as a “pink with gold reflects.” It’s a medium, subtly cool-toned pink with a satin finish. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

What’s Swatch Saturday? I can’t always review products with full, in-depth reviews, but sometimes, I can at least give you photos and swatches, and then also provide a link to dupes and comparisons for those interested! This also helps us to build up our Swatch Gallery and add even more entries to The Dupe List, which can be helpful to readers at any point.

(Why is it called PEACH!)
haha..NYX and their silly, misleading shade name. 😀
lets not forget the mega shine lip gloss named Beige, when it is not at all beige in color,it is a pink shade lipgloss!
-please excuse my English.

I have summer peach and pinched, although I love the formula of both, the colors are almost to similar… I really want to pick up a more berry toned shade 🙂

It seems like the descriptions for Apricot and Summer Peach are the exact same just worded differently:) Apricot looks a tinge more peachy though.

I have to second that. The quality of your swatches are so helpful. With nyx’s “oh so creative ” naming system these swatches will help so many of us. I bought most of my nyx blushes online and had a challenging time deciding. Out of this bunch I have Pinched(one of my favs),Summer Peach (a lil light for my skintone), and Rose Garden (which I was expecting to be more rosy than pink). I don’t have Cinnamon but I now see why so many ladies refer to it as a dupe for Nars Taj Mahal. Hmm. lol. Thanks for the enabling!

Yay for NYX reviews!! I hope to see more in the future 🙂 I have a bunch of these, but ill definitely be keeping an eye out for Summer Peach and Cinnamon (they look perfect for summer!).

Loooove this blushes!!!! My favorite is Mocha, a beautiful rosey matte shade. It’s by far my most used blush. And I have a ton!!! even high end ones. Love Spice too, a more subdued shade. I use it all the time when I’m not wearing Mocha.

I’ve read that Cinnamon was a good alternative to Taj Mahal but they don’t seem that similar.
The Summer Peach and Peach (pink lol) shades are really pretty!

Out of these I only haVe “peach” but apricot will have to be mine once my no buy is over. Other than that the only nyx powder blush I own is desert rose which is a little strong for my fair complexion but still usable.

I’ve noticed NYX blushes really have their labels mixed up. My Peach blush looks a lot peachier than what you have here. And my Dusty Rose looks nothing like what you posted. I’ve even stood in the store and held two Dusty Rose blushes side-by-side and anyone can see one is a lot deeper and cooler-toned. o_O (Even the bf agreed, and he typically doesn’t notice.) It’s a shame as I really love the color selection and quality for the price. I’ve just learned to not order any online anymore =/
