NYX Mauve Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
NYX Mauve Blush
NYX Mauve Powder Blush ($5.99 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “matte light mauve.” It’s a medium, rosy pink with subtle warm undertones and a matte finish. NARS Anguilla (P, $39.00) is warmer. Hourglass Radiant Magenta (P, $35.00) is warmer. Burberry Misty (P, $42.00) is lighter. Illamasqua Naked Rose (P, $26.00) is cooler-toned. Urban Decay Overexposed (LE) is similar. MAC Formal (LE, $21.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The texture was soft, fairly silky, and very blendable on the skin, so it was easy to use and difficult to overdo, as it could be sheered out for a softer color if you felt like you over-applied. It had good color payoff that went on with true-to-pan color. I could see this shade working well as an everyday blush for someone with a fair to medium skin tone. If some of the cooler-toned, rosy pinks haven’t worked out for you, this one might with its warmer undertone, which is what made it more unique within my stash. Applied, the color wore well for almost seven hours before starting to fade.

I love blushes in such colors! they are so effortless and polished!
I agree! They’re so easy to wear.
I like this one!
Yay!
Beautiful shade!! Reminds me of the MAC Lovecloud blush with its slightly neutral undertone! I don’t know why it’s named Mauve since it’s no where close to being a Mauve-y shade, but NYX blush formulas always impress!
NYX’s names continue to confuse!
Mauve=Pink? I still think it is pretty whatever they want to call it.
I feel like NYX should opt for more creative names if they can’t seem to nail them otherwise.
Ok, I have no idea where they got ‘mauve’ from (sometimes I think they pull the names out of a hat, LOL!) but it looks so pretty I don’t really care 🙂 Very natural!
I swear NYX just picks names out of a hat sometimes 😉
Just like their beautiful pink gloss named Beige lol
This blush went right into my wishlist. I can’t pull off cool toned pinks bc of my warm skin so this seems awesome.
I hope it works well for you, Luiza!
Pretty!
I do like the color!
This is just a general question about NYX’s blushes. I’ve never tried any of their blushes, but based on the one’s you’ve purchased and tested. Overall would you suggest buying any? I like their lip products, but I’ve never jumped on wanting to try any of their blushes.
They’re some of the better budget-friendly blushes I’ve tried, though they’re not the absolute, very best blushes of all time – does that make sense? If you’re on a tight budget, they’re worth a look, but if you’re just looking for the best products, maybe not these.
Sort of unrelated, but will you be reviewing NYX’s macaron lipstick collection?
Sorry, I don’t have those!
This is my favorite blush of all time! Great for everyday just like you said! In fact i am wearing it right now!!
What a coincidence 😀
This looks very soft and pretty on you! Perfect for everyday wear
It’s a nice every day shade!
I recently purchased NYX Mauve blush online, and while I was expecting it to be mauve, I’m happy with it nonetheless, but I’m also still on the lookout for an actual mauve blush!
NYX needs to work on their names!
O_O
Have no idea if that is a good or bad face 😉
Mauve? Strange name choice. But it’s a lovely shade, I like it a lot!
Definitely not mauve!
This is one of my all-time favorite blushes and it goes with pretty much everything.
So good to hear!
I’m not really detecting the Mauve here.
Yeah, it’s definitely not mauve!
Ok, again I’m saying this with a NYX blush.. Christine, these look better on you than anything else reviewed! In my opinion, that is. They really like you!!! 😀 Price= beyond worth it.. But then again.. Should not we expect this from whatever we buy? <3
Thanks, Lotus!
Reminds me of Mac blush in Melba 🙂
I can see the similarity!
