NYX Immortal, Power, Cold Hearted Wicked Lippies Reviews, Photos, Swatches

NYX Wicked Lippies
NYX Wicked Lippies

NYX Immortal Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a bold, medium-dark violet purple with cool, blue undertones and a metallic shimmer–it appears more as a frost finish than a metallic finish to me. It had semi-opaque color coverage, which I think was owed a lot to the very slippery, creamy consistency, and if it had been slightly drier, it would have been more pigmented applied. It also applied unevenly as a result. Once on, it wore well for six and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. NYX Envy (P, $6.00) is bluer. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Technopagan (P, $18.00) is darker, bluer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

NYX Power Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, rosy mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It wasn’t as creamy as the other two shades, but in a good way, as it still glided on without dragging, but the color distributed better and more evenly. It could have been a little more opaque, given the formula’s claims. The color wore well for five hours on me. Revlon Icy Violet (LE, $7.99) is lighter. NARS Falbala (P, $26.00) is sheerer, less metallic. MAC Venus (LE, $16.00) is lighter, pinker. Guerlain Bloom of Rose (P, $35.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

NYX Cold Hearted Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a silver-shimmered, medium black with a glossy sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied with some unevenness. It tended to pull into lip lines after three to four hours of wear, though it lasted closer to six in all. Though it has a very different finish, Kat Von D Slayer (P, $21.00) with its sheerer, uneven application looked somewhat similar on (but it’s matte and has no shimmer, just to be clear!). See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I want Wicked even if it applied unevenly. Do you think blotting and reapplying will help? Cold Hearted looks like an easy to wear black(ish) lipstick, I think it’s very pretty.
Power is also pretty, but kind of “normal” 😉
I really like the whole range, and will take a trip to the NYX store to see if they have it, or find out when it’ll be available.

Power looks a lot like the discontinued Urban Decay Pistol lipstick, which I’ve been searching for a dupe of for ages. A little less purple maybe. I can’t wait to find it in stores and check it out.

I really want to get Cold Hearted, mostly because I think it would be great for doing artistic looks! For ‘proper’ wear, I could wish it were a little more even/pigmented, but for the price it kind of feels like nitpicking. I like Power, but it’s a little to ‘normal’ for this collection, LOL! Also, I have (and love) Icy Violet, so I probably son’t need this one… *twitch* Immortal is, of course, awesome for its purpleness, but I still think I will save up for Technopagan 🙂 I’m so glad these are permanent though – means I can always round out my purple lipstick collection in my own time, LOL! 😀

I am a 61 years of age and I have no business wearing these colors. But I did order a few of the blue and purple shades anyway, (the price point can’t be beat) and I will probably arrange them on my vanity and just admire the colors. (I hope I am brave enough to experiment with a little dab of them mixed in with my neutral lippies.)

I went to Ulta and CVS to look for Cold Hearted, and none of them have these wicked lipsticks 🙁 I think I will order from NYX website. I don’t see metallic steel gray lipsticks that often, and the price is right !

cold hearted looks awesome layered on top of black lipstick , as well as a gray lippie , like melt’s space cake !

i was hoping i’d fall in love with immortal since it reminded me of technopagan , but i don’t think anything will ever top technopagan . it’s so unique & so pigmented . it’s a must-have for me .

Love these! Okay….I will try a few…the less wild colors…they look lovely.
Oddly, I see the formula issues with cold hearted (blotchy on) but I think the metallic black is actually more wearable than the pure (matte black).
This whole line is shockingly nice. Didn’t expect it.

I think I like Cold Hearted best of all, although Immortal is really pretty too. I love these new colors coming out, I can definitely see myself purchasing Cold Hearted.

Which of the bronzing products imparted the rosiness? Your face looks wonderful! These are great, but Technopagan….makes me wish to subtract a few decades (like about 4!) + get it immediately. I’ll work on my young co-freak for makeup to acquire it. I wish OCC would put out a collection of minis with their ‘offbeat’ colors: what a great present that would make! I can’t imagine ever being able to use up full size OCC with the ‘offbeats.’ Really loved the MUFE swatches you did this w/e. Thanks for your constant work ethic + ardor.

I LOVE Power! I’m so glad I got it because I was on the fence about getting similar, pricier lipsticks and now I don’t have to. I’m really in love with the color of Immortal, but it doesn’t last on me at all unless I apply it lightly over a dark, dry lip product like a black liner or liquid lipstick. It makes me want OCC Technopagan even more.
