Formula Overview
$10.50/0.25 oz. - $42.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "12 hour wear" with "liquid eye color in one shot" that gives "shimmer" without "glitter" in a "comfortable, second skin" texture. If you love sheerer, more buildable washes of shimmery color in a liquid-cream formula that apply best with fingertips, I actually felt like it was a lovely formula exactly for that.
They were not typically opaque in the slightest; most shades were sheer to semi-sheer, somewhere more buildable than others. They had a lightweight, thin, and almost watery feel initially, which seemed a touch thicker and less watery as it dried down, but it was easy to blend out with a fingertip on the lid for an all-over wash of color that was even to the eye (perhaps not 100% even in a macro close-up!).
As they had a longer dry down to time, which was why they absolutely were better applied with a fingertip, as the fingertip would absorb some moisture and help the product drydown faster.
They wore between six and eight hours on me before creasing faintly, though it wasn't too noticeable on the eighth hour in most instances.

Lemon Slayed is quite pretty! Wondering if, like their Jumbo Pencil formula, these could make for a very waterproof, tear proof base over primer? If so, I would use one in a corresponding shade to my lid shade in order to anchor it. Years ago, I always used Nyx eyeshadow primer that had a wand, and then once it set, I used to apply some Jumbo Pencil over it in a thin layer. Even my acidic allergy tears couldn’t break up my eyeshadow easily when I was still doing that. But, I began to hate having to use two steps before e/s application, thus began my futile hunt for a primer that worked as well as that method always did.
Yikes…….These didn’t go so well. Why does it seem like NYX still comes out with good ideas, but they just never execute it well? Even their cult favorite liquid liner is in such crappy packaging it leaks almost immediately.
I didn’t think these were too great from the Sneak Peak swatches you showed us a week or so ago. And no, they are dreadful.
I actually liked these pretty well. Nice, sheer, sparkly color that lasted OK on me. I got the purple, though.
