Oh I like the look of this! Loving all the signatures on the lid 🙂
Neutral colors look completely different in different pictures. I was so disappointed that everything looked orange in the photos I’ve seen before, but the first picture you posted looks fabulous.
I think they should more effort into showcasing the product correctly if it costs $250!
Completely agree. The pictures at the top of the post are far more attractive to me, specifically the neutral shadows, than the initial promo photos posted a few weeks back and again here at the bottom. I don’t do orange well.
Siiigh, if only it wasn’t so expensive.
Wow – so many pretty colors!!! 🙂 Wonder if it’s really as shimmery/glittery as it looks, though. It’d be a LOT of swatches!
I haven’t seen this actual set in person, nor have I seen *all* the shades in the line, but from what I saw/swatched at Sephora over the weekend, they all seem to have some sort of shimmer/sheen, and are a pit more powdery. Even some of the “old” shades have been reformulated. 92 is one of my absolute favorites, but although it looks nearly identical in the pan, 922 is a *completely* different shadow. I would recommend swatching some shades in-store, if you can. Oh, and several of the shades I swatched did stain, which was never an ossue with the “original” formula…
Thank you, Xamyx! Weird how they’ve changed things 😛 Maybe they’re trying to produce the shadows more cost-effectively to keep the cost of the out of the “completely unthinkable” range
…cost of the PALETTE that should say 😉
I just wish they would have kept the old, and added some new… These seem more pigmented, though, nbut not necessarily in a good way. For one, a few shades stain, and even the “mattes” don’t seem completely matte.
It seems *every* brand “improves” their shadows, at some point, but rarely do they ever succeed. I think part of the reason is to keep costs lower, but I think it’s mostly to “evolve”. If it were primarily due to production cost/profit margin, it would have made more sense to do it with a few of the more popular shades, or just add a few new ones, but to switch out the entire line would be a risky move, and may not pay in the end. I just bought a contour kit, and that was definitely reformulated for the better!
I would totally buy this if it was not $250.
WANT.SO.MUCH.
It’s too bad these palettes can’t be purchased individual.
All of the shades in the palette are permanent, so you can just buy the individual shades if desired.
First thought- fun! Colors and neutrals! They’re pretty!
Second thought- low end look overall with the packaging.
Third though- $250???? Okay, nevermind then.
Wow.
Beautiful, but not happening with my budget.
I don’t care for the new formulation… Once again, if it’s not broken, why “fix” it? Rarely when a brand reformulates does it actually improve a product (from my experience, UD is the only one that did get better!).
Alright, who wants just the top two tiers so I can have the one with all the crazy colors? Preferably someone who also wants to pay way more then 2/3 of the price?
Love it, but way too expensive!
I think the price is fair. youre essentially paying 8.33 for each eyeshadow . Thats not that bad 🙂
i agree with you.. i just ordered mine its too good of a deal in my opinion..
It IS a lot of dough, but what you get is essentially a UD electric + a UD naked + a Lorac Pro 2, rolled into one and it adds up to about the same $. Many of us are not able to buy three at once. Wow, are the comments right on how inconsistent the photos are! esp. the singles photo does them no justice + does not differentiate. the two edition photos look like completely different products, esp on the more neutral end. oh, wow. and thanks, also, ladies, for the comments about the possibly meh reformulation. this is not one to order sight unseen, unless you are a gold plated collector. definitely a try-in-store. also made me realize that despite having most MUFE liners, every colored masc they ever made, going years back, and numerous l/s I don’t think i’ve ever bought an e/s from MUFE!
I thought these shadows were exclusive to this palette. I was going to purchase it as a splurge for myself but I am not sure anymore. I will go and test these out in store first. But for those commenting on the price it is actually a good deal. MUFE charges $84 for their empty 30 palette and each shadow costs $21 each. Sephora has a new promo where if you buy 3 you save $20 but you must purchase an empty trio case at $1. With the math done on that for 30 eyeshadows you are still saving over $200. So anyway you put it despite the high price it is a great deal. But only if you can afford to drop that amount ona single purchase. If not break it up and buy the shades separately as you can.
Well, I couldn’t resist. Just ordered it.
i ordered mine as soon as i woke up this morning lol lol…i had bought 9 and 6 of them are in this palette but i don’t really mind lol… they are amazing lol
It’s in my basket! I’m trying to resist, but I’ll probably pull the trigger today.
This collection looks AMAzING! Not that I need all 30 colours but seriously it would throw any palettes under the bus! And for $10CAD a piece? That’s a keeper!
I ordered. Superior quality brand fantastic deal people shouldn’t complain about the price irs a really good deal!
I think it’s more the fact that it’s difficult to have $300 at a time to drop, at least for me I know that’s true. You’re right though, it’s definitely a steal if you’re able!
my jaw literally DROPS.
I wasn’t sure about the new formulation, but I thought the old ones were ok considering some of them worked both as a blush and an eyeshadow. I work for Sephora, and after playing with them and using them on myself and clients everyday since the launch, I’m totally sold on the new shadows. There are a few in the Diamond line that aren’t as equally pigmented, but so far the matte, satin, metal and iridescent shadows are amazing. I just crossed referenced which ones were in the palette to the ones I fell in love with as singles in store so I don’t double purchase and can get exactly what else I want besides what is in the palette. For me, it was a must have.
Those look awesome, but I think it’s too much of a dream to actually get….
I haves watched all the colors and they are amazing. They are super buttery and blendable. Some of the brighter matte shades can be a little trickier than the other textures , but that occurs with most mattes. Not all of the shades have shimmer. The shadow name will tell you what texture it is. (See below) As you can see, the palette contains a wide variety of the textures. Yes, it is a lot of money to spend all at once, but I did the math. If you buy the palette, you are getting 30 shadows for $8.33 each. If bought individually, the shadows are $21 each. If you go with the trio deal that sephora is offering, (buy 3 shades at $21 each plus the empty trio palette for $1.00, you get a $20 discount) that still comes out to $14.67 per shadow. If you love the colors in this palette, getting it is a way better deal.
M= matte
ME= metallic
S= satin
I= iridescent
D= diamond
Oops! Typo above. “I have swatched……..”. Darn autocorrect.
I don’t get it. Those are two different pictures aren’t they? Are there two sets or what?
Yeah, or I just can’t read. LOL.
Was this available to VIBs only yesterday???? When I look now I see it’s for VIB Rouge only.
It said “VIBs” yesterday… It was supposed to be VIB Rouges but all day yesterday it just said VIB.
I wonder if they are going to honor that? I ordered mine yesterday but haven’t gotten an email saying it’s been shipped or anything- I’ve never ordered anything from sephora on launch day but usually they are pretty quick. I’m just concerned that they are going to fill VIB Rouges before VIBs despite the fact that I ordered it at 6 am… I may call to check.
I think they’ll probably honor it, since it was online for VIBs ALLLLLLLLLLLLL day yesterday. When they have exclusive access, it seems like they reserve stock – e.g. only a set # is for VIB Rouges but a separate # is for general public/VIBs (however they tier it down). But you could call to double check! I might lead with “just checking on my order” rather than pointing out the problem!
I got this on eBay for more than half the $250 price. A seller listed two palettes for $90 each with best offer. The seller accepted mine as $70. If it wasn’t for Makeup Forever being in my saved searches, I wouldn’t have come across this amazing deal! Makeup Forever eyeshadows itself are phenomenal and this palette was the ultimate teaser (although I have most of the shades already.)
I just looked at the sephora website and don’t see this palette available anymore. It’s been removed from the site. I think they might have sold out!
yeah me too I checked on sephoras site, I was gonna buy this next Friday.it’s sold out.
I own this palette and I am so happy I made the splurge. This was the first time trying Makeup Forever eyeshadow. I am a huge fan of their aqua brow. These colors have great pigmentation, they are velvety and smooth. I can blend them seamlessly. I have never been so impressed with an eye shadow. I now find myself looking at the new Fall/Winter eye shadow palettes without any temptation! That’s a first for me. I really think it would have been nice if Sephora would have offered it longer….every makeup lover deserves a chance to buy this!
