Natasha Denona My Dream Cheek Trio Review & Swatches
My Dream
Natasha Denona My Dream Cheek Trio ($48.00 for 0.29 oz.) is a new cheek palette that includes a blush and two highlighters, and the brand touts it as universal, but the blush barely showed up on my skin tone, so those with deeper skin tones may want to try it in person or give it a miss. I wish the brand launched two or three versions, though it didn’t end up performing that well relative to the marketing, so maybe not…

My Dream (Cream Blush)
My Dream (Cream Blush) is a dusty, peachy coral with a semi-matte finish. I found the formula to be incredibly stiff and difficult to pick up, even with a fingertip. The only way it was–somewhat–usable was using a dampened sponge but hard to really build up effectively on my skin without lifting up foundation, so it just felt like a very limited-use product. It lasted for six hours from what I could tell, but it barely showed up on my skin tone, which did make it harder to judge longevity.

My Dream (Dream Glow Powder)
My Dream (Dream Glow Powder) is a light gold with warmer, more peach-leaning undertones paired with a lightly sparkling, metallic sheen. It had mostly opaque, buildable coverage that applied well to bare skin and blended out with ease, and it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

My Dream (Glow Cream)
My Dream (Glow Cream) is a light, peachy gold with more of a translucent aspect to it, which resulted in sheer, lightly dewy coverage. It was thin, emollient, and felt like a traditional cream product, so it had a glossier finish on skin. It applied evenly on bare skin as well as over foundation, though it only lasted six hours on me. I wish the brand was clearer on the function of the product, because they just talk about how it the design “elevates” the coverage and the promo swatches show it as quite opaque.

Sucks. I was hoping she would improve on her cream blush formula, as the previous iterations were also abysmal, but looks like the formula only got worse. Too bad. Money saved.
If this is her “Dream” cheek palette, I’m afraid to see what her nightmare is all about! Yikes 😨
This blush would NEVER even show up on my medium skintone.
Glad I passed on this! I’ve been disappointed with ND lately. Her stuff is not really inclusive. She recently posted a eyeliner tutorial on an Asian model, demonstrating a look that Asians wouldn’t generally do because it looks unflattering on us and then calling the said model “monolids” when the model clearly has double-eyelids and when she got called out on it, she “apologized” for her disappointment in the Asian community “overreaction.” If I want to go for a great luxury formula, I rather go with Pat McGrath. Her stuff is more inclusive, suitable across different skin tones and also performs well.
I’m so surprised. I have this palette and I love it (purchased from Sephora website). I can see how awful the powder blush looks from your swatches and face application photos, but my experience is so vastly different. I know you use amazing tools and probably have the exact same Sonia G brushes I use with this trio and typically use with ND products. So disappointing.
Yikes! This one is an easy pass. Very pretty packaging but that’s it.
An easy pass, this trio, None of the colours would suit me, and the grades and reviews couldn’t persuade me to change my mind. 🙂 An F! I would think ND should have payed a lot more attention to the quality of this release as she calls it My Dream, a bit nightmare-ish, I think. Oh, maybe I’m being harsh, sorry if anyone finds my comments offensive, I’ll blame it on sleepiness!
Yep, this blush palette is a dud – the blush shade looked as if it would be quite pigmented, but alas, it was not and the highlighter shades (why two?) were disappointing as well.
OOOOOoooo! Didn’t see that coming! The colors look so well-balanced too. What a shame!
