NARS x Erdem Strange Flowers Collection
NARS x Erdem Strange Flowers Collection
The Details
For Summer 2018, NARS collaborates once again with long time fashion design partner, Erdem Moralioglu. The designer brings his nostalgic romance and dreamlike narrative to beauty with the limited-edition Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection.
Bold yet timeless, the color collection is a custom designed palette of demure and daring shades for eyes, lips and cheeks, with additional newness in the form of NARS’ first Lip Powder Palette and Mattifying Blotting Paper. The highly covetable 13-piece capsule collection is encased in sophisticated soft-touch packaging adorned with one of three original floral prints Erdem created for the collaboration.
“It was really interesting to explore my aesthetic in collaboration with NARS and see how far we could push different elements through color and product,” says Erdem. “It was fascinating to develop new pigments and palettes as well as the cosmetics themselves.”

Oooh, interested in the lip powders… this whole aesthetic looks very moody and exotic, I look forward to swatches 🙂
The packaging is gorgeous. Fingers crossed they perform well!
The eyeshadow palettes look really appealing, as does the pinker toned blush. I wonder if these will be only through Nars or if Sephora will have them (around me, the Nars displays at Sephora are looking pretty sad and neglected; Sephora stores in Canada used to be so pristine but they seem to be going the way of the US ones, from comments I recall and which always left me confused in past – messy displays/gondolas, products put in the wrong places, makeup spills of powder products all over the fronts of the displays, etc.)
I feel like the packaging could have been sooo much nicer for the lipsticks and blushes instead of just plain white! I love the jewel tones in the Night Garden palette though, super pretty. Are you planning on reviewing the collection by any chance?
The lipsticks I can see going more minimal, but the blush packaging has plenty of space for graphics. A little surprising they didn’t continue the floral theme there.
The packaging is more of a pale, muted blue-green. I love that the packaging is off white but not cream.
It’s not white it’s a pale duck egg blue. Which erdem chose as it’s the colour of his wallpaper in his store in London.
Wow, so beautiful.
The packaging on these is just so SEXY! And without it having an overt sexual theme or vulgarity, too. See, Mr. Francois Nars, you really can do this! And many of us appreciate it.
Now to see how the products fare. I’m definitely interested in the darker eyeshadow palette, the blushes and perhaps a lipstick.
Visually interesting and lovely, but not a thing tempts me in the least.
Absolutely brautiful collection, exactly what s spring collection should look like.
I really like the elegance of the packaging. I’m interested in both eyeshadow palettes, but I’ve learned to wait for your review. I second Nancy’s comment about the shade names too.
That entire collection is calling my name. Those lip colors, the lip powder set, and the blushes especially. It is pretty rare that a whole collection calls my name, but this might be the one – everything from the packaging to the colors.
The Night Garden palette is really something I feel I need. I especially love that it’s dark and rich and cool-toned for summer. I don’t love the white packaging compared to the classic black, but it will do.
I find the lip powder idea intriguing although I can’t imagine what it will do that will make lips look new and the color selection isn’t that interesting to me.
Not a fan of white packaging but curious about the makeup
Really eager to see how this collection performs. I like the blushes and tube lipsticks. The highlighting pencil also sounds interesting.
These all look really beautiful and I love how the aesthetic has been developed over the collection. It is worth waiting for.
Love the packaging and the concept but there is no particular item that caught my eye.
Really nice to see palettes in some different colorways! I find both palettes very interesting but not enough to tempt me to spend $49.
This is lovely! I will probably wind up with at least the lavender blush, but the other one looks pretty too just in this picture. I’ll be able to resist most else, except maybe just one lipstick. Beautiful.
Can’t wait to check out this collection. I’ve never tried a lip powder before. Sounds cool!
They nailed the packaging, that’s for sure. Very Erdem. Now let’s hope the products live up to the appearance.
The lip powders!!! I love lip palettes. All of the lipsticks are beautiful, especially Larkspur and Voodoo Lily. Both blushes look like colors I would wear, but not the eye palettes.
This looks like a lovely collection. The packaging on the palettes is really gorgeous.
oooooh! These promo shots have me very interested!
That Strawberry blush looks pretty! I’m a sucker for Nars blushes. I like using lip powders as toppers so I may pickup the palette and I love that it includes a lip primer.
I love the packaging. I have to see performance for the eyeshadows. The shades do not particularly unique to NARS permanent line other than in name.
I’m assuming this is the ‘old’ NARS lipstick formula rather than LE editions of an Audacious? I’m interested in a couple of shades if it is not their traditional lipstick formula which is too drying for me.
I like the looks of the soft lavender blush
I like that they’ve stepped away from the usual black rubber packaging for this lovely spring collection 🙂 It looks amazing!
I cannot wait to see your reviews from these! Some look really nice, but quality can be sneaky and as my budget is tight I’ll definitely look forward to seeing if these are worth it.
I already bought a tube of Wild Flower from eBay, it’s a semi-sheer purple. The color is cool, but not flattering on my skin tone.
If you bought it from eBay before the launch, there is a high possibility it is a fake?
I’m very interested in the lip powder! Seems like a cool idea–can’t wait for your reviews! I’m such a sucker for NARS.
Interesting packaging but nothing really unique. it’s a pass from me.
This is a lovely collection and I hope MAC doesn’t wreck it by putting out badly performing eyeshadows. I love the shades.
Sorry, I meant NARS – but I still hope that the eyeshadows are good ones.
HI Genevieve, You meant NARS didn’t you?? 🙂
Yep I did Kim.
Looks pretty but I would have loved to see another 6 pan face palette.. Or is that just me being greedy?
I’m not sure I like the packaging. It looks cheap, and from how fast their rubberized casing collects glitter and dust, the wite is a call for disaster.
I’m madly in love with this entire collection! Even the reddish blush with the golden sheen that probably doesn’t belong within a mile of my pasty skin is calling me. I haven’t been down with NARS collabs in a long time but this is L.O.V.E.
This collection is so beautiful. The aesthetic is really fitting this collaboration. Erdem creates stunning gowns. His Autumn/Winter 2018 collection is gorgeous. The Highlighting Pencil sounds interesting I really hope the formula works well.Fleur Fatale, all the lipsticks, and both blushes are things I want to purchase if they review well.
