We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

IF these are actually comfortable for the majority, if not all of the wear time, then I will likely get Bohemian Rhapsody and Born To Be Wild. They sure do look good!
I have several shades of the previous iteration of these pencils. I think they were called Chubby Pencils or something to that effect. I for sure have and loved Cruella, Walkyrie, Dolce Vita and a couple of shades that have less easily shared names. I like the formula and use to wear Cruella very frequently. I actually saw these in Spokane when I was there but didn’t swatch them. I did notice that there wasn’t much variety in shades. It will be interesting to see what people think of these shades and how they compare to the older pencils.
NARS used to have such a beautiful range, but alot of these look so repetitive.
Each of the lip pencils in the rows do look fairly similar to me. The swatches look quite pigmented and I think they would be easy to use. Endless Love is my favourite colour.
I’m guessing these are replacing the Velvet Matte pencils that are now only available on Nars’s site. If so, I’m sad Do Me Baby isn’t included in this line.
Cruelly and Dragon Girl both are calling my name. They look good but since they’re Matte I will wait for your reviews.
They are my pick as well. Really beautiful shades.
NARS getting rid of the matte velvet lip pencils was such a mistake. For the first time ever, I’m buying backups. If nudes like Good Times and Do Me Baby eventually make it to this range, I’ll check them out.
Agreed! I was in a Sephora store the other day and they’re selling them off too. I’m stocking up as they haven’t continued Sex Machine in the new lineup. It’s my holy grail shade!! JUSTICE FOR SEX MACHINE 😩
I hope they come back out with RIKUGIEN
I searched these today, and based on these swatches vs mine (and the ad with Coco Rocha), I think this range is much more angled at paler skin tones. I saw so much more variation on my very light (like NC10) skin vs Christine. And I know she’s not that much darker than me. I’d be interested to see how they look on much deeper skin tones as well, but honestly compared to most other NARS lip products this seems oddly angled towards pale folks.
I was hoping these would be exact replicas of the satin/matte lip pencils nars discontinued but it looks very different to me. Dragon Girl looks more hot pink than cherry red and Walkyrie is more of pink than a warm brown. I’m kind of heartbroken because of the price increase (not surprised) and I love the OG colors of the satin/matte colors. Walkyrie is my go to shade.
