NARS Powerfall Collection for Fall 2016
NARS Powerfall Collection for Fall 2016
Created by NARS Founder and Creative Director, François Nars, the Fall 2016 Color Collection debuts a refined combination of seasonal shades, signature colors and state-of-the-art textures for eyes, cheeks and lips.
Cheeks are sculpted to new heights by complexion-enhancing hues from light caramel to espresso. Lids shimmer with shades of iridescent white, rose gold, and deep indigo, while lips go matte in saturated tones of garnet and bordeaux. New Velvet Eyeliners add rich dimension with pigments that glide on smooth and blend evenly, creating the perfect base for smoky lids or a fine line for a bold look.

Nice to see a new addition to the Matte Velvet line, although it’d be nice to see even more colors added to the line. Can’t wait to see swatches of Rigel!
Ooh I am looking forward to this one! Glad that so many of the products are going to be permanent!
I’m always excited to see NARS launches, but this seems insanely soon for a fall launch. July 15th?? Summer isn’t even over yet. I can’t wait to see swatches of Antares though!
I love the promo pick and was excited until I saw the actual collection. Pretty boring.
Wow, the model looks gorgeous! Nice to see NARS come out with blush/contour duos for darker skintones. I’m eyeing the shadows in Antares (white gold) and Rigel (rose gold), thank goodness they are permanent
Oo, pretty! I’m kind of tempted, but I want to see more, too =) I’ll be keeping an eye out for more info on the liners and lippies.
The promo pic blew me away having such a stunning model, who for a change , is a WOC!
As for the products themselves, I am definitely interested in seeing how the DI eyeshadows do! Love a good white-gold for inner corners or inner lid. Also hoping for the indigo shade to be super dark, pigmented and richer than the other DI blues Nars has brought out.
I happy to these! Can’t wait for swatches of the matte lip pencils and the eye shadows.
Loving the picture — makes me excited for the launch. And those blue hues are looking gorgeous.
Loving the makeup look NARS chose to do on the gorgeous model. An inverted cat eye? Yes, please! As far as the collection goes, any jewel tone will quickly find its way into my heart and I’m seeing some winners here.
The lips and eye products look pretty, but otherwise it’s too dark and warm for my pale personage. Nice to see a darker skinned model with her natural hair, though,
I am obsessed with dual intensity eyeshadows!!I want them all.The velvet eyeliners look interesting.
I have to say Nars campaign photos always exceed my expectations..stunning! That being said, not really much here that fits my own needs.. not a fan of the dual intensity formula and the pencils have historically been epic fail on me. In any event, finally a contour blush for skintones medium and darker, but aren’t they kinda late to that party… should have been released with Olympia and Paloma..that was two years ago!!!
There was a third launched with Olympia & Paloma, that was deep. I haven’t seen it in-store since the initial launch, but I believe it’s still available online. I haven’t been to Nordstrom for awhile, but it may still be there. Sephora, on the other hand, somehow feels a need to clear off shelf space for brands/products that can be found at any major department store…
I have yet to try any of the DI shadows, but they just don’t appeal to me. I personally don’t like the idea of using a shadow wet, then leaving it in the compact before it dries. I miss seeing the “regular” shadows!
I lump Paloma into medium since it is similar in level intensity to Laguna bronzer only cooler in temperature, and just a titch darker than NARS douceur blush.
I do not miss NARS shadows anymore other than a huge amount of nostalgia for the brand and some of the shadow classics. There are so many other options at this point that I like much better . I have pulled away from the brand over the past couple of years; there have been a few key high points (and some serious low points) on collaborations and a regurgitation of the same old and it has left me tepid. The last collection I purchased soley for the packaging. I think we talked about this before, but I have never found a foundation formula of theirs to love either.. Still, I routinely use the tinted moisturizer. I think NARS tm Alaska is my most used and most replaced NARS item of all time. I can definitely be enthusiastic about that 😀
Absolutely gorgeous photo to promote this line! Loving that they are adding to their collection of contour palettes for women of color. Will definitely be checking out these releases. Well done, Nars!
She is gorgeous. Nice to see that darker skin tones are being promoted. All these shades should look good on dark medium and deeper, esp if the women/men are warm toned. (God I love cool black skin, esp, but don’t think these will look as fine on cool leaning folk.). Always have to talk myself out of a Nars dark red lip. But agree w/ Wendy, the DIs are not for me, blend into a shimmery but muddy mess.
But, what’s up with the outside the lip light liner? Is that a thing? The above the crease eye work is stunning on her. Anybody ever try it?
The shadow is where her orbital fossa naturally falls. I *love* that look, but unfortunately my eye structure doesn’t allow it (my crease is one with the fossa, but at least I never have issues with creasing!).
The pale liner looks like an editorial version of a highlight. I’ve done it on occasion to make my lips appear fuller, but with a color a touch lighter than my skintone, and blended.
Right, you see that fossa/above the crease in 60s- 70s looks. My brow, hah, such as it is, is too low. Don’t have the space to do it. Regardless of whether it is on or semi-outside, lighter? Interesting. On a darker completion it really stands out, whereas it CAN be highlighty, Amy, on lighter people. Pretty off Nars except red lips and blush…only the Xmas ones, it seems. Just loved splendor in the grass, with no orgasm, no Laguna. It may have offended some, but I like antonin Artaud (‘theatre is like the bubonic plague’) and ID discovery, so, yeah. But I used to get Nars far more often. Their foundations are all to yellow, not warm, but yellow, for me. But Audacious was a fabulous launch.
Hmmm..hard to tell. When I first looked at the image, I was thinking it was a case of lining inside the natural lip line (as opposed to a light coloured liner). This model has very large lips.. so incredibly well shaped too. I think over shooting the lip line has become the new normal since you see that so much more frequently. Interesting we saw it differently, but not sure if it is lighting or lightening..
The promo picture is nice, with a relaxed sort of feel. The model reminds me of Marsha Hunt a la 1970s.
I thought of Diana Ross initially but Marsha is a lovely muse, too!
OH…MY…GODDDD!!!! The promo picture reminds me of my sisters and their friends(from the late 60’s through the 70’s)!
The collection looks really promising and the model is stunning.
I’m not really into NARS products, but this promo photo is LIFE!
