Rather a traditional and classic cool vs warm offering from NARS. I would be more drawn to these palettes if they contained shades outside of the usual roundup. I already own more than 80% of these colours. Still if you are not already a NARShead then these offerings could be an inexpensive way of adding more classic NARS colour to your stash.
I do, too, LOL! However, given both palettes include LE exclusives, and I’ve wanted Fez for a while, as well as Tokyo specifically for the one shade, I think I can actually justify getting both. Also, of the shades included in both, they happen to be my most used, so getting them in these palettes make them splurge-worthy. These are actually the first palettes where the shades I *don’t* have aren’t ones I had no interest in, or spending $34 on one duo wasn’t worth the one shade I want.
I’m just getting into NARS and whilst it would have been nice to see one or two more unusual colours in each palette, I almost cheered when I saw the Cool/Warm split.
Because I have extremely cool colouring and the current insistence of a half half split in one palette that leaves too much I would never use, I don’t generally buy palettes but Fairy’s Kiss I’m tempted to buy even without seeing swatches.
Humm…let’s see the quality in these…
Ride Up to the Moon looks nice, but considering the reputation of NARS’ larger palettes, I have to see swatches and read reviews first.
Meh. If they were matte palettes, I’d be chomping at the bit to get both of them, but given the quality of Nars’ big palettes (as Precious mentioned) and the price tag, I’m leaning towards “pass”.
I’m trying to tell myself that I don’t need both but its not working. I may go with Ride Up to the Moon, but I’m definitely going to have to do some research before Fairy’s Kiss. Its pretty, but we all know how purples can get.
Really love the idea of these! “And God Created the Woman” is my all time favorite eyeshadow palette! I want Rise up to the Moon but i’m not sure about this green shade?? which one is it? Its not listed above :/
The green shade is Night Porter
I don’t know how well Night Porter translates in the larger palettes, but as a single, it’s very smooth, pigmented, and easy to work with. Of all the Night Series singles, and I have several, it’s definitely the most “user-friendly”.
oh okay thank you!!
Looks pretty amazing! I do hope that the pigmentation is just as great.
These are less expensive than Pleasures of Paris, American Dream, etc. I’m wondering if these are smaller now? You know, the way the eyeshadow palette portion of God Created Woman was?
Ohhh no. This is killing me–I’m about to go into college and I can already feel my wallet and my inner beauty monger crying
Both palettes are gorgeous!
Ride Up to the moon!
I don’t like black e/s in palettes…
Me either and it’s in almost every one!
Fairy Kiss palette contains a color from the Tokyo duo, which I bought and returned in a heart beat because it was not pigmented at all. I already own the majority of the colors from Ride up to the Moon and they are fabulously, and richly pigmented so I would recommend anyone looking to buy one of these to look into that one. That Argentina color is calling my name but I wouldn’t buy it just for that color alone.
Oh, that first palette looks so beautiful. I’m a sucker for NARS but lately they have been a bit disappointing. Hopefully there will be a few stand outs in this collection for me!
Pretty palettes but they look easily dupable.
Do you think the palettes will eventually be sold at Nordstrom’s &/or Sephora? I really would like to see & swatch them IRL before buying, as I find NARS products to be beautiful in theory it doesn’t always translate to their products (pigmentation, quality, etc.). Thank you!
Hi Sarah!
I just confirmed with NARS and these will be at all other NARS retailers in August 🙂
Do you know if they will be at sephora.com anytime soon?
I don’t have an exact date!
For once I’m interested in their LE palettes but again I want to test out Ride Up to the Moon first.
Will you be reviewing these?
Sorry – I don’t think I will be reviewing the palettes!
The…pouch looks so tacky! Pass on all three.
The first palette looks extremely dupable… the only unique color seems to be Night Porter (which I already own) and maybe the new limited edition gold shade… The second one is quite tempting though 😛
Is it just me or does the cooler one remind you of the Too faced boudoir eyes palette?
I’m liking the shades in Fairy’s Kiss… Ride up to the Moon looks very boring to me, the colour combo looks just very ordinary.
Are these palettes not released yet? I can’t find any swatches nor can I even try to find a place to buy them! They weren’t the Nars online shop!
