I have Paris and Hula Hula
I love Paris for grey smokey eyes and I love wearing Hula Hula but beware of large chunks of glitter. Because of that I have to wear them seperately – I love the light strawberry pink shade of that duo – it’s a very easy one lid color to wear on the weekends.
Their shadows have great texture and easy to blend the downside is that their glittery shadows tend to be large chunks of glitter that fall around your eyes which can make you look like a Bratz doll or pole dancer!
Hula Hula was prettier this time around — it was really chunky the first time I saw it!
also I am glad the I was able to pick up the Modern Love Palette at Nordstrom this time around. It features the top selling shadows from some of these duos like “Habanero”, “Jezebel” and “Tokyo”
I love being able to experiment with all the colors in one palette. It did set me back $55 but it was well worth it since I’ve waited a year for it to comeback to Nordstrom!
Glad you got that! I heard a lot of good things about it!
I have: Tokyo, Paris, Earth Angel, Hula Hula, All About Eve, Violetta, Egea, Arctic, Elsa, Jolie Poupee, Cleo and from the cream duos Madagascar.
If I won the lottery I would certainly “complete” my collection, LOL.
wow – you are my new hero! =)
Aww!!
Nice! Still, a nice collection 🙂
Thank you so much for these snapshots of NARS eyeshadows as they appear more or less in real life. When I was trying to decide on the next single or duo to purchase online, I found the color swatches on the NARS website, Sephora website, Nordstrom website, Saks Fifth Avenue website, etc. to be extremely misleading. I love NARS, and your last few posts have been super helpful. Thanks, Christine!
No problem, Christina! 🙂 So happy to have helped!
love love love mediteranee! I think its the prettiest orange e/s on the market
I know, SO gorgeous!
Hi!
Are you sure that photo of Violetta duo is OK? because it looks completely different from my violetta duo!
Yep, that’s what the displayer shows it up as… I googled for images, and it looks the same as mine, too!
Only have Rated R for NARS e/s duos. From the pics, I like: Belly dance, Caravaggio, Cleo, Pandora, Jolie Poupee, and Underworld.
NARS is my 2nd best m/u brand after MAC. Thank you for all these posts! Very enjoyable! :p
There are way too many I want, LOL.
Love the names – anything/anybody called Balthazar gets my seal of approval
Haha ;D
Violetta is my fave! I think I might actually buy that with my Sephora Gift Card (it’s been sitting around FOREVER), but I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist Isolde and Persepolis. The names! Love.
Isolde, sigh! I love the name. Persepolis is gorgeous.
i like the shades of Nars, but the fall-out on them is awful. The pigment is great, but I will not buy them anymore due to that, and the cost. I know I’m in the minority, but I think there are just as good shadows out there.

Which ones have you tried, Carmen? I’ve found any with “glitter” as a descriptor have a ton of fall out.
I’ve tried the “night” series, the burgundy glitter one. I wound up giving it away. and of course, you are correct. The glitter ones are the worst for fallout, but I also tried Cordura and another one at Sephora and still had fallout in the store. That being said, the pigment and color payoff are great, if you can get them to work for you. For me, it’s mainly the $$ that I can’t justify spending on NARS, and the glitter fallout.
Yeah, there’s no way I’m paying $22 (or $32) for a shadow with FALL OUT.
Wow, the images are highly appreciated! Question though, which palette have you depotted them in?
These are photos of the store displayer 🙂
