More Browns with Dior Rosy Tan
More Browns with Dior Rosy Tan
This is a look testing out Dior’s Rosy Tan Eyeshadow Palette, along with Make Up For Ever’s new Uplights in #22 and Guerlain’s #02 Terracotta bronzer.
You will need the following…
- Eyes:  NYX Eyeshadow Base (base), Dior Rosy Tan Eyeshadow Palette (taupe brown, grayish brown, dark brown, shimmering white), Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Liner (black), Burberry Trench Eyeshadow (beige), Hourglass Film Noir Mascara (black)
- Face: Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation (02, 03), Guerlain Les Violettes Mineral Powder (03)
- Cheeks: Guerlain #02 Terracotta (tan), Make Up For Ever #22 Uplight (shimmery white-pink)
- Lips: Guerlain Giny Rouge G Lipstick (pinky), Le Metier de Beaute Papaya Creme (golden pink-coral)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 222 (fluffy crease brush), 184 (fan brush)
For eyes, start by applying NYX as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 294.  Apply the taupe brown eyeshadow to the lower half of the eyelid with the 239.  Next, apply the grayish brown eyeshadow to the upper half of the lid and in the crease with the 239.  Lightly blend the dark brown eyeshadow into the crease with the 222, blending outwards.  Pat the shimmering white eyeshadow lightly above the inner tearduct.  highlight the brow bone with Trench eyeshadow using the 217.  Apply Perversion liner on the lower lash line.  Finish by sweeping lashes with Film Noir mascara.
For cheeks, apply #02 Terracotta below the apples of the cheeks and sweep towards the temple with the 184. Lightly pat on #22 on cheekbones to highlight.
For lips, apply Giny lipstick first, then top with Papaya Creme lipgloss for a complementing lip.
Lovely.
Thanks, Sadie!
What’s your take on this particular eyeshadow palette, Christine? I’ve been hounding the Dior saleslady lately wondering when it will hit counters, but there’s no point if the shadows are iffy.
I will review it when I’m ready! 🙂
this really is one of the best neutral looks i have seen on you
I completely agree.
I was thinking the exact same thing, too!
I adore this look! THE best neutral look I have seen, hands down! I am going to have to get that quad just for that look! Your lashes look great, at first I thought you were wearing liner on your upper lid because they look so black and thick. Great job Christine!
Thanks a lot, Emmaline!
@ Adriana-I agree!
Thanks so much, Adriana!
You are glowing Christine! I love this look.
Thank you, Joanne!
you are gorgeous!!! and this look is lovely!
Thanks a lot, Gaby!
girl you look tan! I LOVE the eye shadows & lippie. Can’t wait for my LMdB Papaya lip creme to arrive 😀 And now I’m lemming Dior Rosy Tan quint!
Too much #03 in the foundation – was too dark!
so bronzed! love it, what is the Make Up For Ever #22 Upligh? I can’t seem to find info on it?
It’s a highlighter – they’re available via Sephora!
Wow, you’re face looks amazing! So glowy and flawless! What do you think the glowiness is? Is it more the foundation, or the Make Up Forever highlight?
Thanks a lot, GJ! The foundation is excellent, though it’s too dark here (I mixed too much #03 in!).
I like that you’ve given us a look before you review the product. It’s nice to have a little sneak peak
🙂
I’m glad you like it!
That looks really pretty on you girl! WORK IT!
Thanks a lot, Laurina!
The lip combo is stunning! Do you think as a more affordable alternative you can dupe it with Nymphette and some light peachy nude — like Freckletone, maybe?
That could work!
You look so tan! It’s a gorgeous look, and you look great in it!
Thanks, Vijaya! 🙂
Very, very nice…
Thank you, Erin!
Love your eyes!
And your cheeks positively glow!
Thanks a lot, CeeBee 🙂
You look so pretty! Abs love it 🙂
Thank you, Shivani!
I love this look! Are there any dupes for the Dior palette you used? Thanks!
Thanks, Michelle! What brand?
Absolutely lovely look…so glowy and pretty! LOVE the lip combo!
Thanks so much, Michelle!
You look so tanned and pretty. Great job.
Thank you, Shontay! LOL, foundation was the wrong color!
Ooooooh Papaye Creme…
Absolutely stunning! What do you think about the Rosy Tan palette compared to Nude Rosy? Also, please please do a tutorial of the look!
Thanks, Shirley! 🙂 They’re a fair amount different!
Love this look!
Thank you, Michelle!
pretty look! i love how that foundation looks on you…
i actually finally checked out the guerlain foundations today, and NONE of the three have a shade that matches my skin tone! they’re basically all too pink. i was pretty sad.
anyway, at least i came out with their perles though, so not all is lost 😉
I have to mix the Guerlain ones myself – I went too heavy on #03 here, so it wasn’t quite the right match!
This is so beautiful, I agree with all the above comments – gorgeous natural look. The lip combo is AHHH!! So nice!
Thanks, Anna!
Gorgous!! LOVE the shadows on you, and you are glowing
Thanks a lot, Stacia!
I think your looks will look nicer with thicker eyeliner on the top lid. Probably brings out the eyes from a further view
Sorry, but it causes severe irritation. I’ve explained it multiple times, including in the FAQ, but it can cause anything from a rash on my eye lid to swollen eyes completely.
I love this look, it’s beautiful on you!
Thanks, Marjolein!
Will you be reviewing the Rosy Tan palette? I’d love to see te swatches!
Yes, I will be!
Gorgeous as always!!! =)
Thank you, Federica!
wow thats a gorgeous eye..can’t wait for the full review thank you!
Thanks, Natalia!
looks like i’m buying a new lipgloss lol
LOL!
Beautiful! I am planning to buy this palette.
Thanks so much, Annelies!
Beautiful look, Christine! Can you suggest MAC dupes for the Dior shades? Thanks!
Thanks a lot, Cris!
These colors suit you beautifully – especially the lip combo!
Thank you, Courtney!

Thanks, Olena!
LOVE this look! I have to have yet another palette…thanks alot Christine…I’m goin broke since I found your site ;)LOL just joking..Ive been a junkie for a very long time and I love your looks and tutorials.Keep up the great work!
Is this the “Tan” or the “Nude”? It looks really light in pigment. Gorgeous on you, but light.
Never Mind! I checked out the “Nude” look. I thought this would have more color payoff..but I still love it. I’d probably use more of the darkest shade in and above the crease for contrast. I have some pretty hooded eyes 🙂
Rosy Tan – as stated in the post! 🙂
