Formula Overview
$8.50/0.1 oz. - $85.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "no fallout" and will not crease while "glid[ing] on effortlessly." There did not seem to be a specific callout with respect to opacity, and the actual opacity ranged from sheer to more opaque with most being semi-sheer. The brand's promotional swatches/demo images showed the shades as fully opaque in coverage, though.
The consistency was very watery initially; thin, fluid, and on the more watery side so that it was hard to apply the product evenly. I tried to use my fingertips but found that my fingertips seemed to absorb the formula and caused it to dry down faster, which turned it into a gummy consistency--this was even harder to manipulate and even out! I would recommend a larger, flat synthetic brush or the included doe-foot applicator.
I found the formula to be particularly difficult and inconsistent to work with, and I think it would be best for someone who would use the shades as a sheer wash of color and is not particularly concerned for a 100% perfect evenness or layered over another eyeshadow. They have some tremendous sparkle and shine, so I can see some people loving them for real-life use.
Once on, they were crease- and fade-resistant and did not have fallout for 10 hours, as they did fully dry down, but they easily removed with water.
Note: some shades contain plastic (PET) glitter.

I don’t wear glitter on my lids and three F’s most deservedly given make a huge “NOPE” from me!
Glitter products are always dicey on the eyelids and these look particularly bad – so I am not surprised at the F rating. One for the Most Disappointed list for the end of the year.
Well, at least the consistency is there….
This is why I stick to Stila
I bought one of those eye shadows about a month ago and i agree, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Applied very patchy, wasn’t a good look.
You have to wonder, in a world filled with really good liquid eyeshadows, how products this bad make it into production.
Wow! The reviews I’ve seen were really good so I went to buy one but couldn’t find a color I liked as, like most other brands, their cool toned neutral selection is virtually nonexistent. Now I’m glad I didn’t waste my money.
Wow, 3 Fs! I liked the 3rd color since it seemed to be multicolored. Maybe for the collarbones on a night out or for a Christmas party?
Yikes! If anyone is looking for a more affordable version of the Stila glitter & glows and shimmer & glows I’d suggest trying Kokie Cosmetics Crystal Fusion Liquid Eyeshadows (around $6). They are just as good imo and for reference I’ve got oily lids with creases that are sensitive. In my area they have them at Sally Beauty, but depending on your region they have them at certain drug stores and grocery stores.
Wonder which ingredients are responsible for that gummy texture?? That sounds unacceptable. It’s a shame, because the packaging is really pretty ha ha
