Milani Baked Metallic Eyeshadow: Purr-fect Purple
Milani Purr-fect Purple Baked Metallic Eyeshadow ($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is medium-dark red-toned purple with a silvered shimmer and sheen. Â Of the several new shades Milani released, I was disappointed in this one–the pigmentation is just not nearly as intense as it looks in the pan. Â The pan looks like a much more vibrant, violet purple with greater depth than is achieved when used (regardless of whether it is used wet or dry).
Milani could ditch that curved sponge/brush applicator, because the bristles are splayed and scratchy, while the sponge is thin and surprisingly scratchy. I did like the switch to a black interior, over the champagne gold from the Runway Eyeshadows. The lid is also quite secure, and I had to pry it open with my nails.

Even if this is sheer, it looks like it could work for a smokey purple eye.
Not a bad color, but not what I would have expected based on what was in the pan. Shame!

It looks very pretty and that says a lot for a purple hater like me. Why do the makers bother putting a brush in the pot? They are rarely well made.
I, too, love purples. But I hate how much of a silver/gray tone this one has! It’s so hard finding a decent blue-based purple.
I got this recently..wore it 1 time and gave it away..that beautiful shade of purple that I saw at the store when I bought it was NOTHING like i expected when I put it on..maybe if you layer it with something else it will be better.

I have purchased a few Milani shadows only to find that no matter if I apply wet or dry, I get nothing….NOTHING! Yes, it’s cheap, but it’s not worth a red cent.
It is pretty but not a shade of purple I was expecting. I would probably get a better payout with Kleancolors eyeshadows.
regardless of the sheerness I still think its a good outcome of color
I actually would not pick this up if it went on as vibrant as it looks in the pan, but I like the sfter way in which it goes on alot!
