Milani Olympian Blue Eyeshadow
Shadow Like an Olympian
Milani Olympian Blue Eyeshadow ($5.99 for 0.11 oz.) is a rich medium blue with a matte finish. MAC Blue Candy is lighter. MAC Electric Eel is comparable. MAC Freshwater is a smidgen darker and frosted. Inglot #371 is a touch lighter. Inglot #322 is similar. Make Up For Ever #72 is also comparable. Â This is one shade that has a lot of dupes–this, of course, is the most affordable!
Olympian Blue is highly pigmented, just as described, with an ultra-finely milled, silky soft texture that’s easy to blend. Â I love that it’s not so soft that it’s powdery, and it doesn’t disappear once applied. You don’t have to pack this color on at all–it’s very intense and stays that way, even as you blend around the edges. Â When I tried it out, it wore for a full eight hours without primer and there was no apparent fading or creasing.

aw, i was hoping this would be more similar to the illamasqua shadow in burst… this is still a pretty shade though, i’ll probably pick it up sometime soon lol.
Hi Christine!
Is Olympian Blue anything like Chaos from the UD Vice palette?
No, not at all – Olympian Blue is very blue, whereas Chaos has a lot of violet and purple in it.
How does it compare to urban decay’s chaos?
Chaos is very purple in comparison – I wouldn’t compare them at all!
I love this shade, looks have strong turquoise undertone, especially at the edge of swatch. Can you do a look with this shade? The color is so bold, I usually only use bold color as liner.
omg how pretty
Amazing colour! Every time I read a good Milani review and I see the great price, I think by myself: sounds like a great product I’d love to have it and then I realize they don’t sell Milani in The Netherlands. I don’t have access to many great brands, I should really go to America.
This is really exciting! I’m not so much in the market for this exact shade, but it’s good to know Milani pulled off something like this!
I bought this about a week ago for my Manila Luzon All Stars makeup recreation. It looks nothing like it does in the pan. Swatches horribly. Applies horribly. Makes me itch.
I’m not keen on going to the other side of town though to return it to the CVS I bought it from. Anybody know if I can return it to the one closer to me? The CVS closer to me didn’t sell these eyeshadows and still don’t, so I’m not very sure.
You can return to any CVS store. I do it all of the time, you’ll have no problems!
I have been dying to try all these Milani shadows after you’ve given them such good reviews. I can only ever find just 2 or 3 colors in-stores though–it’s a bummer. I do have the black and purple ones but I haven’t had a chance to try them yet. I would love to play with this blue one though–that is crazy pigmented!
This reminds me of Milani’s Atlantis from a few years back. Pretty & reasonably priced!
At some point I am hoping to get my hands on Milani’s fabulous values.
You can buy them on Cherryculture.com
Love it!
Hnn, I thought it was similar to UD’s Chaos, but now I see there’s more violet in Chaos. It’s still a great, bold blue. One of my favorites from the collection. 😀
This is a fun bright blue.
Cant believe a product so inexpensive can be so pigmented. Go Milani!!!!
I have a Matte Revlon Eye shadow that is almost a dead-on dupe to this.
