Milani Gone Glamping Collection includes a new eyeshadow palette and four eyeshadow pencils, which I have swatched here. It looks like the palette sold through at Ulta, but it can be purchased through the brand directly still!

I love the look of those eyeshadow pencils and a few of the shadow swatches appeal to me too (Good Vibes Only and Succulent). In the pan, Under the Stars looked like it would be a lot like the lovely Tom Ford combo you showed earlier today but swatched, it looks disappointing. I’m guessing that Shoppers Drug Mart (some locations carry Milani) won’t have any of these, worse luck!

Gosh, I haven’t worn Milani shadow pencils in ages (I think I still have some lying around). I’ll probably pick up one to try out to see if my eyelids will like the formula. I like the overall color story of the palette but for a travel palette, it could have used one pigmented dark matte shade and Treemendous and Under the Stars don’t seem to swatch well. I also think Oasis, Kindle, and Campfire are very similar in depth and color, and that at least one of those could have been a lot lighter or deeper.

Just wanted to add that the shadow pencils have low ratings on Ulta, but that is only because they have the color names matched up with the wrong colors on the site and people didn’t get the colors they thought they were getting. So the negative reviews are really about Ulta making a mistake, not the actual product, :). I am excited the try the shadow pencils. I’ve really liked the 9 pan Milani eyeshadow palettes I have tried in the past. This one is too cute.

Haha, one more thing! I was looking at old reviews on eyeshadow pencils a few weeks ago, and people kept mentioning the Jordana ones. When I went to the Jordana site I see that they closed this past December, but Milani is their sister brand and on the Jordana site they have a 25% off for Milani. So, if you are ordering from Milani, grab that 25% off! :).

Apart from the orangey in this palette, I quite like the colour story here – esepcially with the beautiful green and golds. The eye pencils look fabulous and I love the shades.
The orangey shades look fairly similar – so a greater variation or even different colours would have worked well. The mattes do look a little patchy though.

I am supposed to be on a no buy, but… this packaging was too cute to pass up. I have been obsessed with camper vans since I was a little girl! You know how you have that friend… the one that loves fairies or butterflies or mermaids and whenever you see one of those things and it’s something unique you have to pick it up for her? Well camper vans are my butterflies! I’m such a nerd. They should have made the collection bigger. I bought it all. One day I will have a real camper van of my own. I’m crossing my fingers for a vintage westfalia or… if I hit the lottery (I don’t play) or marry for money (I haven’t been on a date since September 2018) I will have an airstream! They will have to be custom to store all of my make-up.

Ombg I do relate to your comment. Except the date thing. It’s too far in my years 25-37 standard yellow vw beetle’s rear view. A local used VW place had a three vans on their mini-lot with the tops popped, and they lasted about 5 days. Mine would have stuffed dachshunds on the dash and get painted, uh, yellow. Off to the blue highways.

Oh, this takes me back! I haven’t thought about Milani in ages, they used to be one of my favorite brands. And I adored the Champagne Toast shadow stick. I’ll need to check these out!

My pet peeve is irregular or offbeat shapes in the pan, like the new Rare palette. I can imagine not being able to fit a brush in, then throwing it while bellowing. As to packaging, major hate for the bulky ones like UD BOS 4, I think it was. It certainly is easier to store straight up rectangular palettes, though.

The UK Nars stuff is often covetable, like that palette. Loved the Man Ray collection. What I learned about Man Ray’s bestie George Hodel, not so much.
