Mented Cosmetics Beach Bum Bronzer Review & Swatches
Beach Bum
Mented Cosmetics Beach Bum Bronzer ($22.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a light-medium, golden brown with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a soft, fairly smooth consistency, but it was lightly powdery and a little drier in feel, which was more noticeable once I applied it to my skin than just touching the powder.
The way the powder sat on my skin was an issue I experienced across all the shades in the range, including the lighter ones–very much reminded me of what I experienced with Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Bronzers (which some really seem to love, so while true of all products, your mileage may definitely vary!). It was least noticeable with this shade, as my natural skin tone helped to camouflage some of the issues. It lasted decently for seven hours on me before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$22.00 -
The formula is supposed to be "rich in pigment" and "effortlessly blendable." The pigmentation was typically semi-opaque to opaque, and if not full coverage, certainly buildable to get there. The texture felt soft, finely-milled, and wasn't too powdery (nor too firmly pressed into the pan), but there was some dryness there.
On my slightly drier skin (at least, at the time of testing), the formula wasn't as blendable or as flattering to wear as it seemed to emphasize dryness. The formula was easiest to apply and blend out over a more luminous base that was lightly set with translucent powder, but it wasn't ideal over a more matte foundation or over my bare skin. The bronzers lasted seven to eight hours on my skin before showing fading.
The way the powder sat on my skin was an issue I experienced across all the shades in the range very much reminded me of what I experienced with Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Bronzers (which some really seem to love, so while true of all products, your mileage may definitely vary!).

Probably too light and yellow-based for me personally. Even so, I haven’t had many issues with cheek products since I always use my finishing and setting powders over my foundation/BB cream before using my powder bronzers, blushes and highlighters. And, just the opposite when using creams.
