First thing I'll say is that I hate the name of this lipstick. Otherwise, this is a beautiful dusty mauve color. The satin formula dries quickly, but does not dry out my lips. It is not moisturizing either. It is comfortable to wear and lasts for many hours without touchup. I even drank a cup of hot coffee and it didn't budge!

I bought this loose translucent powder based on positive reviews and comparisons to the MAC loose translucent powder that I love and use almost every day. It sounded like this NYX powder was a dupe for MAC and could save me money. WRONG! You get what you pay for. Open the lid and powder flies all over the place like baby powder creating a mess. It doesn't pick up well by any of my brushes and doesn't apply evenly. Ugh. I only hope I can find the receipt so I can return this mess.

A very well-named lipstick, as it reminds me of the color of chili powder. It looks beautiful on. It's matte, but comfortable. It lasted all day, with only one very minor touch-up after lunch. This makes a great addition to my collection of MAC reds, which also includes Lady Danger and Russian Red. Of the three, I find Chili to be the most wearable for the daytime.

What's so interesting is how this color reads so differently on each person and in each photo. What looks like a pinkish-lavender on both the MAC and Temptalia websites reads more of a blue-lavender on me. I was looking for a purple lipstick when I bought it, but the darker purples looked terrible on me. Men Love Mystery was perfect. It's very much a purple lipstick, but not dark enough to look ghoulish on me. It is a matte formula, and, therefore, is a bit drying, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. It lasts for many hours without a touch-up, and adds a really nice edginess to my makeup.

What a beautiful and useful color! I avoided this one in the past because I couldn't see how this frosted color could work on me. I don't normally like using shimmery colors in my crease, but I finally broke down and bought it based on reviews. I'm so glad I did! This looks absolutely gorgeous as a crease color. It is extremely pigmented with excellent color payoff. It's frosted, but in a more subtle way. The color stayed on perfectly all day (note: I always use a primer under all eyeshadow). I own a lot of eyeshadows, and Satin Taupe is now my favorite.

I've been using this blush for many years. I love it because the color is so perfect, so pretty, so natural. It goes on beautifully, very easy to control the amount applied, and it blends well. The color stays on all day. The only negative is the cost, which is ridiculously high, but it does last a very long time. I've tried finding a less expensive dupe, but nothing has ever really come close.

I'm not normally a fan of Cover Girl, but I love this mascara. I have short lashes and not much volume. I've tried everything from cheap, drugstore brands to high end brands, and CG Clump Crusher is one of the few that actually delivers clump-free lashes. This is a mascara that I will buy again and again.

I got this as a freebie in a buy-two-get-one-free deal at MAC. I'm not a huge fan of MAC's lustre finishes because they don't stay on well. But I do like nudes. Hug Me, a very sheer pinky brown, is so close to my natural lip color that it reads more like a clear gloss than a nude lipstick. I'm not sure how often I'll ever reach for this color, but at least it was free. It's not a bad color, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I was at the MAC counter today while wearing Revlon's Sassy Mauve, and the MAC saleswoman asked if I was wearing Twig (which just happens to be my favorite lipstick)!! I don't think Sassy Mauve looks that much like Twig, though. It's often described as a more pigmented version of MAC's Syrup. It is a gorgeous mauve-ish color that is probably flattering for a lot of different skin tones. While not as creamy as my favorite MAC satins, this Super Lustrous lipstick has a very nice, comfortable texture that lasted at least 4 hours without a touch-up. This is a great daytime color that I will reach for often. And only $4.99 at Target!!

This is a very pretty MLBB lipstick for me. My lips are naturally pink and this just adds a little extra to them. But I'm not used to the lustre finishes and it feels a bit too glossy and on my lips. I had to reapply after eating. After a couple of hours it sort of settled in, though, and felt closer to a cremesheen with a hint of color. I think this will be a good lipstick to wear on days when my lips feel dry and I want a more natural look.

In warm, indoor, windowless lighting, Velvet Teddy almost disappears on me. But in daylight or fluorescent lighting it comes alive and looks beautiful. It is listed by MAC as a "deep-toned beige," but I would call it a medium warm-toned nude. This is a matte formula, yet it is not drying and is very comfortable to wear. It looks matte, but feels a little more like a MAC satin, which is my favorite MAC finish. You can probably find cheaper color dupes of Velvet Teddy, but MAC's luxurious, creamy, long-lasting texture makes it worth the extra money.

This is a perfect palette to show off green eyes. My two favorite colors are the mattes Nooner and Limit, which are the two most important colors in the palette, as they are both great transition shades. Nooner looks great in the crease. Other than those two colors plus the off-white Strange, the rest of the colors have shimmer. Once Nooner and Limit are gone, I'll have to find dupes to go with the rest of the palette. They really ought to sell single replacement colors. This detail shaved off a star of my review. Some of the shimmers are better than others, but most are very good and easy to use. The one exception is Dust. I have a hard time getting this color onto my eyelids. Very high fallout. There isn't much pigmentation, just a bit of sparkle. They should re-release this palette with a double portion of Nooner instead of Dust. Then I would give it a full five stars. (A double portion of Limit would earn extra credit!)

Russian Red is gorgeous! I went to MAC to get red lipstick, with my mind set on Ruby Woo. The saleswoman had me try both Ruby Woo and Russian Red, which she thought would go better with my coloring. She was right! Russian Red is a richer, deeper red, and not nearly as drying as Ruby Woo. The color suited my light complexion and dark hair...like Snow White! This lipstick stayed on beautifully through the evening, which included drinks and dinner, and made me feel so glamorous. I would not be comfortable wearing Russian Red every day, but it's sure to become my favorite evening out lipstick.

Twig has become one of my very favorite lipsticks. It is a beautiful mauve/brown color, similar to Mehr, but not as pink. This is much more than an MLBB color. Being a MAC satin, is has the staying power of a matte, but it is moisturizing. Satins are my favorite MAC finish because of this. Twig is a great color for days and nights.

Gorgeous, gorgeous color, but this matte gets so dry it is unpleasant to wear. It goes on nicely at first, but becomes uncomfortable and starts to flake after an hour or two. I find myself wiping it off and starting over every couple hours. I've tried dotting a little bit of lip balm on top of it and that helps, but I just don't reach for this one anymore. Too bad because the color is so very pretty.

I was talked into buying this at a MAC counter. The saleswoman was wearing it and it looked good on her, and she assured me it looked good on me. I wanted something unconventional for a party I was going to. I hated wearing it. I found it gritty and uncomfortable (but not drying), and the glitter was getting everywhere. It didn't stay on very well, wearing off in the center every time I sipped on the straw I was drinking through. I would have wiped it off at the party, but the glitter stays behind even after wiping off the lipstick! So I kept reapplying it. Ugh. I couldn't wait to get home and wash my face. I gave it two stars only because I got quite a few compliments on it. But I won't be wearing it again.

This is my most-used MAC eyeshadow, which I use as a transition color. I'm surprised by the low rating. I apply this color into my crease, then build around it.
