I really like this lipstick. It is a lovely smooth creamy consistency that is comfortable to wear, and easy to apply, and the color is flattering on me. I'm not a fan of the packaging, but to each his own. It isn't an opaque lipstick, I would call it semi-opaque. I didn't notice a scent. Overall good, though not spectacular considering the price.

This stuff is magical. The formula is smooth, pigmented, and a gorgeous shade of blue that I've never seen in an eyeliner before. It is great for winged liner on the upper lid, and also to smudge under the bottom lash line for a pop of color. 10/10 will buy again.

This is a great glossy bold pigmented purple, very blue toned and would be everything I want in a purple gloss it it wasn't scented. I can't stand the very strong synthetic floral smell and taste of this product. I usually love florals but I cannot tolerate such a strong scent/flavor in a lip color. If you don't mind that scent this would be a great cost effective statement lip product!

By Starlight

Melt Cosmetics

Melt seems to be struggling with color consistency in their lipsticks. My bullet of By Starlight is WAY darker than pictured, deeper than MAC Punk Couture and more blue toned. I was hoping that it would be closer to OCC Rollergirl, my favorite purple lip color. The consistency of this product takes some getting used to. The super matte texture makes for an extremely drying wear, and application is finicky, streaky, and tugs like no other. I also find that though the lipstick is very pigmented it is not opaque on the first swipe, which is disappointing. However, application improves significantly is the lipstick is slightly warmer than room temperature. Overall, this lipstick is ok. It isn't what I though I was buying and it isn't a breeze to apply, but if you like the color you get and are willing to go to the trouble to apply it, it is a good long wearing lipstick.

I have tried just about everything to make this foundation work. It is a very thin texture and spreads across skin easily, but is extremely streaky and uneven. No matter how much blending I do it never covers evenly. I have applied it with fingers, buffing brushes, and sponges but I've had no luck. The coverage is billed as buildable but I have found it is only sheer on me, and building creates that gross separated and oily look. It settles into pores like it's getting paid. I've tried to find some strengths in this foundation since I own it but it is so frustrating to work with that is consistently ends up in the back of my drawer with the other sad reject products. This just doesn't work on my skin.

I bought this for the color. I thought it would be great eyeliner for cool toned smoky eye, or even to pair with a red or pink, but I find this very difficult to use. It goes on very dry, which creates an uneven line. When I tried to compensate by smudging and going for a smokier line I found it is impossible to smudge out evenly, and goes entirely sheer. I love the idea of this pencil, but in practice it does not live up to expectations.

Love me a bold blush. Also doubles as an ultra trendy eyeshadow now that marsala is "in". I can see how some people would be intimidated by such a loud blush, especially on a fair skin tone. I definitely have to use a very light hand, but I love the end result.

I use this as a contour shade. It looks perfectly natural because it is so subtle and blends so well! I love it and plan to buy an extra. However, this is clearly only a contour shade for fair skin. It actually appears lighter than my skin tone when swatched on my wrist, but somehow turns into a perfect soft shadow color on my face. Makeup magic.

One of the least well known and most underrated mac products ever. When I went to buy it in store the assistant didn't even know it existed. Bamboo is a the perfect way to warm up a very fair neutral skin tone. My face looks artificial if I use brown toned bronzers or blushes to try to add dimension and color, but the warm tones in bamboo give me a look that appears totally natural. I use it blended into my hair line all the way down to my cheeks and as a base for blush. (It can also be used alone as a blush for a very subtle look.) It is creamy, easy to blend, and one of the best makeup purchases I have ever made. I use it nearly every day.

I love the audacious formula, but Juliette doesn't seem to be quite as creamy and pigmented as its sister shades, and tends to stick to any dry areas. I've also noticed the tiniest bit of sparkle as i'm taking it off, though it still appears matte on the lips. Still, I am comparing it to my holy grail lip product. It is overall a beautiful bright shade that pretties up any look. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody.

I use this as a blush and an eyeshadow. I'm quite fair and find that i need to use the lightest possible hand when using it as a blush, but when blended it gives a beautiful flush. I love it as an eyeshadow even more, especially to pair with taupe and grey shadows.

I like to sheer this out with a light moisturizer for a more natural look under the eye. I'm usually aiming for a "slept 8 hours" look and this concealer is so pigmented that if I don't dilute it my look ends of being too "makeup-y" for my comfort zone. It is a beautiful product tho, very blendable. Best of all, it refuses to crease on me! However, I'm not a fan of the packaging. For the price I want to get every last drop and the tube makes that difficult.

Holy grail lip product. Perfect color for me, super pigmented, creamy but sets, and this stuff does not budge. I will be stocking up big time if NARS ever retires it.
