I adore this red, Even after trying reds from higher-end brand like NARS, MAC, Bobbi Brown etc, I always keep coming back to this because it just WORKS on me and brightens my whole face without looking too over the top. I think this is a perfect day-time red as it is not super deep.
This is a lovely coral-pink sort of color and I love it in theory, but unfortunately, it really just does not work on my skin tone. It pulls a little too orangey for my tastes. I do use it under some lip glosses though, and it does work in that respect.
The formula on these lipsticks is amazing! Very creamy and moisturizing and always looks a little glossy after you apply it, which is nice if you like that sort of thing! Old Hollywood is a lovely red shade that brings to mind the pin-up gals of the old days with a modern, glossy take. It can migrate a bit if not applied with a lip liner.
It really is a liquid lipstick in the truest sense of the phrase, and I can see why so many people want the formula back since there is nothing quite like it in terms of texture, opacity and wear-time. The color itself is a deep, dark red, almost vampy red, and the thickness of the formula makes it harder to blot without leaving obvious traces of whatever you used to blot it with. This texture is seriously not for me, but I suppose it is no longer a problem since MAC discontinued the formula.
This is only the harder-to-apply end of the spectrum, but just because it is super opaque and since it is a SHIMMERY gloss, getting rid of the mistakes is just a bit harder. Other than that, it is a lovely color that almost anyone could pull off and looks great for those fancier events without being over-the-top.
Love this sort of color- just opque enough to give a nice, glossy hint of color, but sheer enough so you don't feel overdressed or over-made-up. Perfect for those on-the-go sort of mornings to make you look more polished and like you put a lot more effort into your appearance than you did.
Definitely a MLBB shade, at least for me! I love this for work and class or just those outings where you want to feel polished but not necessarily turn heads everywhere you do. it's a comforting look. Some have had issues with the cremesheen line, in terms of dryness and such, but it works fine for me
lovely color, suits my skin really well. love that it can be applied super sheerly for a pretty stain, or layered on for a pin-up look. I've worn it numerous times, and always get tons of compliments. Since it is matte in texture, it is not the most hydrating lipstick out there; make sure to apply lip balm a few hours before you plan to apply this lipstick.
