La Bouleversante (51) is a beautiful shade and I purchased it with the fall 2015 collection. I hoped it would work. Unfortunately, for the cost, I think it needs too much help. The formula is not matte if you are looking. it needs 2 coats to not be patchy. It does have a shine. it only wears about 4 hours on me without a liner and it also feathers a little which is not a huge problem normally for myself. So, The thing I found unique about this shade was the light red color which made it nice for day time wear. Well, given it's issues, it needs a lip liner. I tried a clear one ( Urban Decay Ozone) and it did not help the patchiness. A red liner changes the shade. So, I'm returning it.

I think these are overpriced by about $4 dollars to be in competition with Nars Audacious. But, IMO I think most I have received are as good of quality. The #08 shade is a brightened orange. But, it's not an in your face orange. I have many orange and Red-orange lipsticks, so I did hesitate. But, when I received this, I was pleasantly surprised. It is somewhat close to those-but not exactly. I agree with Christine, they could be more unique. I like the high shine and it feels really moisturizing without being slippery. Nice shade for summer and Autumn. I think it could be layered with a red to deepen it also.

I bought this on a whim. It was sold separately than the Holiday set that is reviewed. I agree with Christine's review that is doesn't last long on it's own. If I am going to be wearing it alone, I usually just apply a base like UD ozone or Too faced lip primer. It is very hydrating for me and looks really cool alone or over lipstick. It's thin. But it can be built up. I think the fact that it is thin helps it to not melt the lipstick underneath. It does make a holographic effect that so far I've not seen in any other product.

I like this shade and got it on sale for about $5..I am pretty impressed. Particularly when it is comparable to a $50 lipstick.I find it sheer. But, not overly, sheer. But, some of your natural lip-color will show. It wears a good 3-4 hrs without eating. If you drink, it does come off on the cup edge. It is very moisturizing I find. Very pretty color. I do not care for the scent of Maybelline's lipsticks. But, luckily, it goes away once applied. I am usually a HE lipstick and other cosmetics girl. So, for me to be hunting down the new Maybelline lippies is a big deal. This one is good.I have several of the Rebel Blooms. The Creamy mattes are amazing though. Just as good as Mac, some are better.

Honestly, I purchased this because I was told the model in the summer campaign ad was wearing this and It looked gorgeous, lol! I have many dupes and I think this is a pretty dupable shade aside form the sheen. But, you could always imitate that with a balm/gloss. I think it's nice and moisturizing. It is sheer and wears about 3 hours without eating or drinking. It will start to wear form the center out. I like to layer it over a more matte lipstick to add moisture and longevity. A primer or lip liner helps extend wear a hour or so. Overall, I like this shade and Julia the best out of this formula. I swatched about all of them at the counter. The SA told me these two were the top sellers. I can see why. But, to me they are also the two most dupable. Overall, I Like them, but don't love them basically. Also,IMO, I feel they are over priced.

This is a sheer, moisturizing very wearable shade. it doesn't last more than a few hours on me without a primer or lip liner. It's a pretty color and very comfortable. It's nice for that. Just don't buy this is you are looking for long-wearing. I think these are a bit over priced personally. But, this shade is pretty. I also purchased Arthur, which I like as well.
