They did a pre-sale for the PR boxes on 11/13 so we should see reviews up soon before the official launch. The collection will likely sell out quickly because it is based on such a cult classic. From what I have read, they will not be able to restock after the launch sells out because they donโ€™t have the rights to. Once itโ€™s gone, itโ€™s gone for good

The packaging and promotion images/ video are gorgeous and I love them so much. The colors aren’t new in makeup per say but interesting combinations. There are a couple things that spark my interest but I’d want to see how the formulas play with each other.

This looks waaay more “Halloween” than “Holiday” and in that respect, I think they missed their “window”. Also, did a memo go around that eye shadow palettes should be loaded with 4 almost identical magenta/purple shades or 5 extremely similar red shadows and 2 identical looking grey ones for facing the afterlife???

Their Holiday collection last year was inspired by Dia de los Muertos, and officially launched on Black Friday. Given Lora’s affinity for the Goth subculture, this collection just seems in line with that, and had absolutely nothing to with Halloween… She has also displayed her fandom of “Beetlejuice” a few years back, so this feels like a very well-planned collection & launch.

Looks neat, I do love Beetlejuice. ๐Ÿ˜€ Though I can’t help wonder why they didn’t release in time for Halloween? Funny time to announce it, the day after Halloween.

I’ve never bought anything from Melt so maybe this will tempt me!

I think there was a revamp in the beetlejuice franchise this year- it was suppose to be the main maze for Universal Hollywood Horror nights before it got cancelled so I wonder if the release of this makeup collection was suppose to be released in parallel with the event

In the spirit of Tim Burton (who Directed Beetleguese), Halloween can be anyday, hence The Nightmare Before Christmas. Itโ€™s only cut off date is your imagination and isnโ€™t that what is key to creating great makeup looks? This is fun. I love Melt and they arenโ€™t a huge make up conglomerate. They took a huge hit with COVID. They were closed from March until July since they are in California. The releases they have had this year after that have been done in smaller quantities like in offering complete kits of each line. Frankly, I donโ€™t mind if itโ€™s late. I support Latina brands during this hard pandemic… especially ones that I think have far many hits than misses. I love that they might bring the Melt Stacks back too.

I really like their ‘commitment’ – when they go for something, it’s all the way in terms of artistic vision. And they are more unexpected than so many other companies in their use of color. Too bad the quality is so unreliable. Still I appreciate someone trying to make a cohesive, original statement regardless of whether any of it will ever touch my particular face.

I definitely plan to pick up both palettes, and hopefully the 2 gel liners & paint, and two of the lipsticks. Ideally, I’ll be able to get the entire collection, but between the expense & frenzy this collection has inspired, I’m going to focus my efforts on those items I mentioned above…

Iโ€™m super excited for this collection ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’šI was a huge fan if the movie and the cartoon series . I love the purple and green palette the most. Its so very Beetlejuice๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ

Nellie Avatar

I love this! Super bummed about the timing in the year of COVID, when the Broadway show was interrupted during such a great run. This whole collection feels very in keeping with the spirit of that show (which I caught in December).

Sam Avatar

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on both palettes (are they sold out now?! Iโ€™m trying to gift one to a friend and cant find them under $150.).

Honestly opinion though, Iโ€™m a pigment snob and these are both INCREDIBLE! The colours are velvety, stunning and super pigmented.
So much so in fact, that reds and violets tend to stain my eyes. I personally donโ€™t mind that but just be warned, that you might be walking around with purple or red eyes for longer that expected. ๐Ÿ˜€
