Makeup Geek Burnished Bronze Luster ($22.00 for 0.31 oz.) is dark brown with subtle, warm olive undertones–it had a stronger muted, yellow undertone–paired with a mostly matte finish. The new, powder bronzing formula is supposed to give the skin a “sun-kissed glow” but doesn’t say much else. It had rich color payoff where a little went a long way, but the powder had a smooth, finely-milled feel to it that made it easier to control how much product transferred onto the brush to avoid over-applying.
It did not blend out quite as easily as I anticipated, as it seemed to sit in my pores a bit so it did not look as even as I would have liked. This did not happen consistently–one day it did, the next day it did not, both times were applied with the same product over bare skin! The color stayed on well for eight hours on me.

Hmm…not 100% sure whether it would be the formula or the “welcome to Arizona!” effect on loads of powder product? Wondering, because there is definitely something at work out here that seems to make powder products, especially blush, contour and bronzer do weird stuff! It’ll be great one day, and not okay another, even my UD Jawbone has been starting to do this. It *may* be that this climate does something to our actual skin that affects how powder applies? Been wondering for years. ?
Well, at least the shade itself definitely looks interesting due to it having an olive undertone to it! A boon for us olive peeps who do not wish to look like a Cheeto, LOL.
It can just be variation in skin quality/texture, I think, but it might also be the way the powder is milled or mixed!
While I’m not a bronzer connoisseur, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one this exact shade!
It’s definitely more unusual with the more olive undertone!
