Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Collection just launched earlier this week, and it is a mega-sized collection featuring all face products. The collection includes six cream blushes, five powder blushes, five powder highlighters, six powder bronzers (one was out of stock when I bought these), and six cream contours (which I didn’t purchase).

I see several of those cream blush sticks that are really beautiful to me – glowy and dewy – but I always find cream blushes far less easy for me than their powder counterparts. I also really like the Opal and Pearl highlighters, though there doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference between the two.

I’m not seeing a great deal of differentiation in the powdered bronzers in the light-medium to medium dark range.. and the dark shade look very warm and not dark enough for deep skin. The blushes look pretty, but nothing extraordinary and I already blew cash on PMG. I don’t think there is anything in this offering which tempts me.

First, before telling my likes, let me address the enormous elephant in the room: the powder bronzers. “Dark” is not all that dark at all! These are not truly inclusive or match up well to their individual shade designations.

Anywho, I do like a few of the blushes and other stuff. Plumberry cream and Wild Berry powder blushes, and Pearl highlighter.
Strange how the blushes are a bit more inclusive 🤔

This is the first time I’ve been interested in anything from Mario. I really like Opal, Pearl, Plumberry and Mellow Mauve.
I’m not really a fan of cream blushes unless the dry down completely, My hair gets stuck on my cheeks if they remain creamy and I end up looking like a bearded woman in a freak show from the beginning of last century.
It’ll be very interesting to read the reviews, I must say.

Hmm interesting. While i like this more than his previous launches nothing is really pulling at me. I’m surprised by #1 opal and pearl + golden & honey – so similar just different undertones ; cool vs warm, peachy gold vs yellow gold. I actually find the lightest two to be too light for me oddly. Also saw a video from not fit for print and she mentioned these were ‘sparkly’ which turned me off, so i think I’d rather try wish from vesca since i love their hl in moonlight.
#2 wth happened with the bronzers, again 3 shades very similar all with varying undertones – great. BUT there is such a jump between the light & light Med, and agree with a previous comment the dark is so red and not very dark at all (Vieve is finally releasing bronzers so I’m excited to see those instead). Normally i could jump in for blush but again these all run pink and i prefer a true peachy or warm nude tone. Sadly i might be out on this too.
