I’m snaking my head on the table over the COLLECTOR’S PALETTE. I don’t think they ship to Canada through the parent US site anyways but I’m also so broke for these large permanent item collection and Urban Decays. *__*

But i have the Artist Palette Volume 3 to look forward too in the spring ’16. Along with cream contour palettes and HD concealers.

Holy whoever you believe in! I’ve only had MUFE a/s since the S sale, and like everyone else, I’m totally obsessed. I might have to raid the retirement account for this beauty. Drool-worthy. Covet-worthy. Swoon-worthy. OMBFG!

Staci Avatar

Where are they getting the value for the shadow set? If these are full size ($21 each) that’s a $630 value. Are brushes included? It says, “apply with…” but no brushes are pictured. Regardless, if someone would just buy that for me that would be great.

Amy H. Avatar

Of course this is just a hunch, but they might be figuring in the plastic palette and shadow inserts to the retail value. Either way, it’s a beautiful set. I’d love to buy it. I didn’t plan my holiday purchases too well, so saving for these big purchases will most likely not be in my future. Sigh.
There’s always next year! I just have to stop torturing myself in the meanwhile. Haha!

Neonails Avatar

That palette looks stunning, & while the value is amazing, that price tag is no good! I bet you’ll be able to put some beautiful holiday looks together, however.

…is it just me though, or is this palette heavily weighted towards us pale folks? With the number of shades they included, I’m really surprised to see so many very light/white shadows, & not too many deep shades. I love that, because it means there’s more chance that a highlight will actually be light enough for me, but that could be difficult for anyone medium/deep.

Maybe the photo is just a little washed out?

Jennifer Avatar

It is very washed out, I’ve seen actual photos of the palette, not just a stock photo and the shadows don’t all look that white, there is more variance! Even so I think they probably could have swapped out maybe one or two for slightly darker shades, they are different textures though!

I was thinking the exact same thing! I was like ‘OMG YES, THE ONE ON THE RIGHT, I’M GETTING THAT’ and was so bummed to see it’s part of a set. I don’t need more neutrals (middle) and I’m not brave enough to wear bright colours (the left one).

Carrie Avatar

The big palette looks lovely, but out of my price range right now. I might try and pick up waterproof heroes, I’m running out of perversion and $10 is a great price for one pencil, let alone the bonus mini in brown that it comes with.

Nicole Avatar

That’s a good deal on the palette even though it is pricey! But, just by eyeballing them, I think I have a good amount of them. There are a good amount that I don’t have yet too. But, still, I’m thinking I won’t be shelling out that much when I have probably at least half the shades already when I need to start shopping for other people. The liners- nice deal too. Basic black and brown. Hmm. I’m overflowing with liners. I really don’t know much about this formula. Probably skip.

April Avatar

They already have a 3-pan palette deal on Sephora…Pick three shadows for 44 dollars. 10 for $100 will be cheaper but otherwise it doesn’t feel ‘holiday-iy’.

Kira Avatar

Wow! 1/3 are mattes too. I really hope that one day the timing will be right and I’ll be able to splurge on one of these Make Up Forever kits. It makes more sense for me to pick and choose colors here and there though. The full sized pans of the bold pops of color are huge and would sort of be wasted on me — I only use these colors on weekends, really.

Jessica Avatar

Hi Temptalia! Do you know how much the palette will be in Canada and if it will be available to us?

I didn’t get my hands on the 30th anniversary palette and also another question. May be a dumb one: but since the eyeshadows are more a ‘gel-powder’ consistency, are they more prone to drying up over time as opposed to a regular eyeshadow? I just wouldn’t want them to go bad since I have had my powder eyeshadows for awhile and they seem to be doing alright and are good to use! I have yet to buy Makeup Forever eyeshadows because I’m not too sure how long they will keep and hold up against my other palettes!! Thanks =)

Jessica Avatar

Okay thanks Christine! Maybe I will snag that palette if I can. The shadows always sound amazing when I watch reviews. Do you reach for MUFE shadows over other ones? I know you obviously have a lot to work with so what formula impresses you?! Must be difficult to impress Christine 😛 lol

markiebamboo Avatar

This is an amazing set. And far more interesting than the first 30 years palette they released before. The problem is that I have been buying many of these colors. So now comes the analyzing if it will be a good deal for me. Hard to resist.

3 That I just bought in the VIB Sale that I can return
5 dupes from last year’s Holiday case, but I would not mind having 3 of those in a larger pan.
4 dupes I bought a while ago that I can’t return but I can ebay.

Well at least this is a great deal and a beautiful selection. I just have to make a decision!

Jennifer Avatar

Yes, I counted I have 6 or 7 dupes from 3 palettes I have but even with those it’s STILL a great value! And I believe these pop out so you can always sell them or give them to friends /family.

Nika2799 Avatar

I didn’t get the 30 years 30 colors 30 artists palette so I will definitely be purchasing this!!This is what I’ve been waiting for from MUFE considering for the 30 years palette they were supposed to restock. I was on a waiting list at the NY,New York store called them several times each time they keep moving the restock up and it never happened. So I am getting this baby it’s a great deal in my opinion!Christine,do you know the exact time this will be available for purchase?

markiebamboo Avatar

I think this one has a much better shade selection. Many rich colors that are far more wearable than the brights included in the first 30 palette. Also I think that the neutrals in the 30 years palette can look a bit too sameish. The only thing I am not fond of on this new release is the highlight shades look so similar but the other shades are so rich its easy to forgive.

Lorrin M Avatar

I’m kind of over companies with their $300 value sets. I appreciate that you get a good amount for your buck, but if I have $300 to spend on makeup I probably would have the colors I want by now. It seems like a marketing ploy to get people to spend a lot of money at once and it seems a bit tacky to me.

markiebamboo Avatar

I think they have enough offerings across all price points. If someone does not want to spend $300 on something of this nature, there are the smaller palettes that have just as high quality products that are less expensive. But if you do intend to buy the regular pans and you want to buy many colors, then you would spend less on this than you might getting the same thing individually I just wish it was announced before the VIB sale and the holiday sets.

Jessica Avatar

Do you find the MUFE shadows have less of a shelf-life as opposed to regular powder shadows since these are a gel-powder? I don’t have any MUFE and am contemplating on whether this palette will be a good deal to me or not…

Jessica Avatar

Cool, thanks Rachel! I’ve been on the fence because none of my shadows are too old either but wanted to know if these are worth the investment 😉

Deidre Avatar

The Collector’s palette would be great for anybody wanting to get MUFE eye shadows but overwhelmed by the choices of shades, at least in this you get a nice selection. I already have many MUFE shadows and one of the pre-made palettes so I won’t be getting in on this one.

Deidre Avatar

I haven’t found that to be an issue. I have many of the eyeshadows including the 50 shades of grey set from last Christmas and the shadows are still as amazing from the day I got them.

Abir Avatar

Unless you’re a makeup artist I don’t understand how this shadow collection is a good deal when the holiday 15 artist shadow palette had 15 shadows for $60. The shadows were only slighty smaller.

Vicki Avatar

Could somebody check and see if any of these shadows are repeats of ones in the Vol. 1, Vol.2, and the Artist 15 palette that just came out? thanks in advance!

Tara Avatar

Hi, Just wondering if know know how many repeat colours are in this palette that were in the 30 year artist palette that came out last year??

Thanks.!!

Neola Avatar

I counted at least five repeats from last year’s 30 year artist palette:

M-100 Black (of course, lol)
M-536 Milk Tea
ME-512 Golden Beige
I-922 Electric Purple
ME-230 Peacock Blue

As well as from the recent 15 Artist Shadow Palette for $59.00 –

S-114 Pearl Gray
D-826 Fig
I-922 Electric Purple (again)
D-236 Lagoon Blue

Neola Avatar

Also, from the Volume 1 artist palette –

I-514 Pink Ivory
I-544 Pink Granite
ME-512 Golden Beige
D-652 Celestial Earth

From the Volume 2 artist palette:
ME-302 Peacock
ME-512 Golden Beige (-again!-)

So, if you have those palettes, you’re not missing THAT much from this new one. Not to mention all the shades are part of the permanent line already so, you can buy them individually over time and also only get the shades you actually want/would use.

Fran Avatar

The collector’s palette almost makes me wish I didn’t already own so many MUFE shadows! I already have 14 of the 30 colors included, and, although I wouldn’t mind having a back-up of some of them, many of the 16 shades that I don’t have are colors that I don’t use very often because they don’t suit my coloring — orange blushes and eyeshadows, yellow-brown eyeshadows, pink-ish eyeshadows. Although some of the pink eyeshadows could be used as blushes (some might be a bit too shimmery for that purpose for me personally)… I would love to justify this, but I can’t. Oh, well! I enjoy my MUFE shadows so much that I use them almost daily. Only a few other formulas can compete with them, as far as I’m concerned!

Ericka Avatar

I have the first 30 Artist Palette. Is this the second version or third version of the Artist palette? Does anyone have a picture of all of these palettes?

Neko The Ninja Avatar

MUFE artist palette is already available on the MUFE website. It still says sold out on Sephora which I assume means that it has not been made available for purchase yet. Can’t wait to get the MUFE palette!
