Make Up For Ever 203P Golden Pink Artist Plexi-Gloss
Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a gloss with “vivid color and high-shine” that will wear for “five hours” with a non-sticky texture. It’s not a bad gloss formula, as far as glosses go, but it doesn’t really deliver on its promises of “vivid color,” as many of shades I’ve tried (nine) are more semi-sheer to semi-opaque. I haven’t worn all of them yet, but I have tested these three, which I found to be longer-wearing than the average gloss, but they are tacky with a light-medium weight to them. I felt like not enough product was pulled onto the applicator each time the wand was pulled out of the tube, and the applicator is interesting, but I don’t think it applied better (or worse) than the traditional doe-foot. The split-tipped applicator is more spongy and pliable, so those with more curved lips may find it easier to use than traditional applicators. I didn’t notice any scent or taste with this formula.
Make Up For Ever 203P Golden Pink Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and gold pearl. The gloss had semi-sheer color coverage that lightened, brightened, and added a gold sparkle to my natural lip color, but it may be less noticeable on those with darker natural lip color. It wore well for four hours on me and was moderately tacky. It was a little hydrating over time and comfortable to wear overall, but there was slight settling into lip lines. Marc Jacobs Beauty Some Girls (328) (P, $28.00) is darker. Buxom Trixie (P, $19.00) is warmer. Buxom Sophia (P, $19.00) is less shimmery. NARS Sweet Revenge (P, $26.00) is warmer. NARS Orgasm (P, $26.00) is more shimmery, lighter. NARS Super Orgasm (P, $26.00) is similar. NARS Belize (P, $26.00) is less shimmery. Chanel Rosace (87) (LE, $27.00) is cooler-toned. MAC Flare for Fantasy (LE, $20.00) is warmer. bareMinerals Heartbreaker (LE, $18.00) is lighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Heart Shaped (308) (P, $28.00) is less shimmery. MAC It’s a Wow (LE, $15.00) is cooler-toned. Bobbi Brown Pink Gold (P, $24.00) is lighter, more shimmery. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Make Up For Ever 205P Pearly Rose Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a muted, coral-red with pink and silver shimmer. This shade had semi-sheer to semi-opaque color coverage that went on somewhat evenly, but it could have looked smoother and more even. It wore well for five hours, was tacky, and slightly moisturizing. Maybelline Pearlescent Peach (520) (P, $8.99) is lighter. Gucci Beauty Crushed Coral (P, $32.00) is warmer. NARS Stella (P, $26.00) is lighter. Revlon Kiss Me Coral (P, $7.99) is warmer, darker. Revlon Papaya (P, $7.49) is pinker. Guerlain Candy Stripe (P, $30.00) is less glossy. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Make Up For Ever 302P Golden Coral Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a light-medium orange-coral with gold shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, but as it was a milkier color, it did pull into lip lines even from the beginning. It wore well for four hours and was lightly hydrating. The texture was light-medium in thickness and noticeably sticky. Revlon HD Amber (555) (P, $8.99) is more shimmery. Chanel Exotique (12) (P, $34.00) is less shimmery, more orange. MAC Artful (LE, $15.00) is less shimmery. NARS Greek Holiday (P, $26.00) is sheerer. MAC Flare for Fantasy (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery. MAC Imperial Light (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, sheerer. MAC Dynasty at Dusk (P, $20.00) is sheerer, more shimmery. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

I think you might be missing the big pictures of Golden Pink!
Fixed, thank you Holly!
Terrible teasing me by starting with the lighter shades! You know which ones I’m dying to read about! Haha 😉 Thanks for picking these up to review tho! I’m excited to read your reviews on each one.
LOL! 😉
Christine – Have you done a review on Sephora’s Cream Lip Stains? I would love to see your thoughts on those, especially on the newer colors they’ve released.
No, sorry!
I am a liquid lipstick junkie and the Sephora ones are one of my faves, if not my favorite ones!! I really love them!
Swatch for Golden Pink is missing? Meh, these look like regular, sheer glosses, nothing special. I was really hoping the more unusual colors would perform well.
Fixed, sorry Katherine!
Kinda bummed that these aren’t doing better. For $19, I though MUFE would hit a home run with these.
I was surprised that they made such a point about “color impact,” and there wasn’t much impact at all. No more, no less than your average gloss, you know?
Golden Pink and Pearly Rose would be nice everyday go-with-everything colors to keep in your bag. I like the golden touch in GP especially.
I could see that!
All 3 are great colors for you. I’m not sure I could pull them off.
Thanks, Erin!
Too bad, I had high hopes for these 🙁
Aww!
Meh. These are pretty sheer and boring. I can’t wait to see how the darker ones turn out though!
They are more dupable for sure!
This are quite pretty. Pearly Rose is my favorite.
It is a pretty combo!
Wow…I think I really love my Revlon HD Lipglosses a whole lot more than these! Even my MAC ones, while sheerer too, just have more of that something special to them.
They are more pigmented than these!
I like Golden Pink. It seems to hit that sweet spot of being adequately pink but not too pink, and golden but not too golden – sits in neutral territory, effectively. Pearly Rose is pretty, too, but I’d rather get the Revlon gloss. (And I hate milky glosses so Golden Coral is an immediate pass regardless.)
Also! Unrelated, but I wish the Revlon HD lippies would come across the pond. They look awesome.
It’s a very pretty pink for sure, even if dupable/sheerer than expected.
They look good, but I will save my money to use on something a bit more unique.
Good idea!
Golden Pink is pretty but I think I have at least 3 similiar glosses in my collection, lol. 🙂
It’s one of those colors every brand has to do, lol!
