Make Up For Ever #13 Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick

The Sultry Season: Make Up For Ever #13 Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick

Make Up For Ever #13 Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a gorgeous berried red with ruby and raspberry shimmer.  It has rich, nearly opaque color, and it wears phenomenally.  This is a color that you can put on and forget about for hours–I get five hours of really nice wear out of this shade.   It has nice pigmentation without being heavy or thick, and though it’s not drying, it clings to lips a bit (but in a good way, I swear!).   #13 is a fitting shade for both fall and winter making it one multi-tasking lipstick!

Is this the right red for you? Would you wear it?

The Sultry Season is a series of posts featuring deep, rich shades of brown, berry, plum, and wine lipsticks and lipglosses — just right for autumn — that runs through October 2010.

I love this color! I’m going to get it tomorrow since I planned a trip to Sephora. I have 5 of these lipstick already and they’re awesome. I get 5 hours of wear even while eating and drinking frequently.

I love this shade. I’m glad you’re doing browns, and reds (sultry colors). I don’t like those pale lipstick shades. I love all of these colors that you are doing.

Is this really color #13? Sephora’s website calls it “pearly plum.” But your pictures don’t look anything like that color to me. Maybe Sephora’s pictures are bad.

NO.13 is a plum. If you go on Sephora under Makeup Forever which one of the reds is the one. There is a metallic red, but there is also a berry red. The line —————–off the top of my head———- has 5 or 6 reds. I assume it is metallic red which is a different no.

Hi again. I had my daughter order the #13 Makeup For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick from Sephora. It was delivered. She got #13 and it was the plum that Sephora pictured and discribed. I am really confused. We just want this metallic red that is featured on this blog.

Well Christine. You have to be right because I went onto another blog and saw the swatch on a hand and this “plum” came out swatched the same color of what would be the contents of the #13 tube. oh well. will just drop it. it did look lovely on you.
