I834 Grape (crease), Urban Decay Rockstar Eyeliner

Make Up For Ever D716 Crystalline Papaya Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a sparkling, golden beige with a frosted sheen. It’s really dazzling in person–when I swatched it, I could see why it had been out of stock for so long!–and is great for brightening the inner corner. It had good color payoff, and the texture was very smooth and felt more like a cream-powder hybrid. The color itself wore well for almost ten hours, and there was slight (but surprisingly little) fall out over time. See comparison swatches/ view dupes side-by-side.

Make Up For Ever I520 Pinky Sand Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a gold-shimmered peach with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had nice pigmentation that went on smoothly and blended beautifully. The color lasted well for nearly ten hours before fading slightly. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Make Up For Ever I838 Slate Pink Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a dusty, medium-dark pink-mauve with a soft, frosted sheen. It had good pigmentation, while the powder’s texture was soft to the touch, easy to apply and blend out, and went on smoothly. The color didn’t show any signs of fading until after ten hours of wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Make Up For Ever I834 Grape Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a dark purple with warm, reddish-brown undertones and a pearly finish. It had fantastic color payoff, and the texture was soft, smooth, and blendable. It wore well for ten hours before creasing slightly. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Hi Christine
These shadows are so gorgeous and I absolutely love the look you created. If may I ask what brushes do you use to create this wonderful effect as I so want to get a few new eye brushes.

These perform beautifully on you! I’m afraid to try one because of the ridiculous stash I have.. If I liked them, I’d get so bummed. Haha! I’m going to have to try one sometime! May I please ask you how the cases open and close? That is something of grat importance to me! Thank you, beautiful!!! 😀

Hazel eyes… I became obsessed with eyes and decided to study genomes to understand color and variations because growing up my eyes looked like yours and I called them hazel as well! As I got older, my eyes lightened and more blue, Aqua and gray shades became apparent and bring called blue eyed girl occurred.. I went to an iridologist for close pics and saw it! (Christine, what others call spots and you call streaks, I’ve liked to call a sunflower! It looks like a sunflower blooming from your pupil! 😀 ) Anyway, my studies went more hardcore at that point and I photo hehee close ups daily to note changes as well as meet others, rarely find any with eyes like mine and trying to understand them. I learned my Hazel eyes couldn’t be hazel because true hazel is actually an amber color! In your photos above, notice how much more the green is pulled out and the color ring of a flower pulled back… (This was news to me, too, the hazel thing).. Your eyes are a predominant shade of gray/olive/green! Your “flower” can be so overpowering that you can appear to have brown eyes, which is amazing, I love your eyes! And othe times, like with a urban Decay Honey.. That green is bright! Hazel is a most safe choice for ID, as they will appear that way from the blend of colors together! I just wanted to say something because I’ve been closely for so long at a beautiful eye, enlarging it, checking for other variations, and I’ve found you to have an insanely gorgeous eye color, so totally different from mine, and it’s exciting to watch! Quick changers, the color bleeds a palate of its own, and I thought you might want a new obsession: Watching your eyeballs’ color! 😀 This might seem weird, but it is one of the most fascinating things I’ve gotten into! Eyes and genomes. (Nerd) 😛

I don’t have any of the duo compacts, but the single and trio compacts click close – there’s a latch – so it doesn’t magnetized, just snaps shut and stays shut.

I’m told my eye color comes from my grandma, as my parents don’t have any green to their eyes 🙂 My eyes dilate really easily, too, so that might be why they change more day to day (because of the brighter lights and all that when I photograph).

I like them all. I really want Chrystalline Papaya, Slate Pink and Grape. I just wish they had names becuase I find it impossible to remember numbers. The Sephora I usually go to, as it’s the closest doesn’t have all the MUFE eyeshadows. Or all the new NARS lipsticks, Quite annoying.
Love the look you did, using these shadows.

LOVE Slate Pink & Crystalline Papaya. Haven’t been makeup shopping in months because I’ve been feeling like crap all winter this year, so this is motivation to get my arse out of the house!
