MAC has kind of priced itself out of its quality. These lipsticks are 23 USD– that’s insane. The quality of the product just does not line up with the price. Those lipsticks look sad to me. 🙁 I used to be a MAC-only person– now, the only item from theirs I use is Ruby Woo.
I thought Cheery Cherry was the fuchsia and Potent Petal was the red? The websites I’ve been to lists Potent Petal (vibrant red) and Cheery Cherry (vibrant pink.) Just curious because I want the red, haha.
It’s weird because I switched them around last night after checking against the MAC site, but now it seems backwards – but yes, Cheery Cherry is the pinkish one and Potent Petal is the red one.
Yeah, it’s so weird! The “real life” lip pics on Ulta are listed backward, though the very same pics are correctly labeled on the MAC site. I hope no one ends up disappointed because of the errors.
Sadly, I know which products I would love to get, especially after seeing someone with my skintone use these products on YT, but knowing that I’ll be down for a huge chunk of spring has me thinking that I should only consider the HD Cherry Tree blush and Petallica Metallica highlighter. If I believed that Sakura SZN would look good on me, I would get it.
Flowerescent and Sakura Szn look really pretty. I love the blush formula and have Totally Synched, which this looks quite similar to, if just a bit more purple.
One day MAC will get its mojo back- but these shades are those they have done before. Not really for me.
It might be my screen, but for a “vibrant red,” Potent Petal seems to have a lot of orange in it in Christine’s lip swatch!
I love the packaging, Petalic Metalic is beautiful both inside and out. Flowerscent blush is right up my alley, but i think I might have some dupes. I’ll wait for your review to find out.
I really like the flowerscent blush, but I think it might be close enough to fenty bikini martini for me to pass. The highlighter is really tempting though.
Is the blush packaging bulkier than the regular Glow Play packaging or is just an illusion? I really don’t know why I have a burning desire to know this, lol! I love this blush formula and have been hoping for some brighter colors, tempting!!
Maybe by a few mm? I am not sure. I don’t have any of the original Glow Plays to compare to (they are a cream product, so I don’t keep those typically!).
I can’t help myself, I love two out of three lipsticks and two out of three blushes. I think I’m at heart a MAC girl. 😀
If I must chose only one lipstick it’ll be Cherry Cherry and the blush I’d chose would be Flowerescent. I also like Potent Petal and HD Cherry Tree.
