MAC Venomous Villains: Unveiling & Store Events

Please leave a comment if you know of a location holding an unveiling event–which is a preview event that takes place a week or so in advance of the collection’s launch where customers attend, check out the new collection, and are able to purchase on that night.  I’ve had several emails asking about events nearby, but I don’t have a list–so let’s compile one together.

There is one in Short Hills, New jersey in the free standing MAC store, on the 21st. I was invited to the event and so I will be going. CAN’T WAIT. Want to be done up in the Maleficient makeup

I am not sure if there is a particular way to get on the list per say but for me I am in there system because I shop there so I think I just automatically got one. Other girls I have talked to they just ask the MAs periodically if there is going to be an event going on. HTH Are you going to the VV preview in CT?

On Oct 2-3 at the South Coast MAC PRO store, there will be a huge event in the middle of the mall complete with makeup artists doing trials of the collection and a real Disney movie set.

If you are unable to make it to the unveiling, can you call the store to preorder and pick up the items the day of the unveiling (of course the time they do the unveiling)?

or some collections, some MAC stores/counters hold events that unveil the collection, which means it allows customers who RSVP to the event to preview the new collection. You are able to purchase products on that night (from the collection or anything else they sell), but it is only on that night. It typically occurs 1-2 weeks before the official launch date. They often serve drinks and appetizers as well.

Time: 9:00am. They are opening the store one hour early for people who RSVP only. They are having a “breakfast”. I don’t think they are doing holds.

Flroida: MAC Pro @ lincoln rd miami beach will be releasing the collection on sept 23rd for everyone to purchase. Only people with invitations are allowed into the unvielings. So check out Mac pro on the 23rd or call and make a phone order that morning when the store opens.

CHRISTINE, I know you dont need an invite, but make sure your readers know they can’t just show up that night and try to get in. Apparently some stores in my area had a problem with that.

I wonder if they have a purchase amount requirement. No one bothered to tell me that when I signed myself and a friend up for. I didn’t have a problem spending it, but she was a little frazzled.

Does anyone know if the MaC counter will be doing a unveiling as well, I asked but they keep giving me the run around ;( I just wanna know if I can pre-order .. btw how does pre-ordering work with new collection

P.S I’m in the new york area!
I know the stores would prob do pre-orders but I get a discount at the counters that’s why I’m asking!

I was invited to the event at Valley Fair, but it’s my 5 year anniversary with the bf. Wish I could attend! If only bf thought going to a beauty launch was as exciting as I did! LOL

Hey Christine! I was invited to go to the unveiling and I was super pumped! On the other hand, I am 13 and I kinda feel that I would be the youngest one there and/or I would be ignored and not taken seriously.. Have you ever been to an unveiling and seen teens there?

i dunno if this is happening at all the events but when i called to rsvp @ aventura they told me to make sure to bring the email that was sent or you wouldnt get in so for every1 that didnt get the email just an fyi

Christine,
I called my local MAC store and asked if I could pre-order. She said they are not taking Pre-orders BUT (or maybe I just got a nice worker today) she took my order anyways and said she will call me to pay for it on the day of the unveiling and I can pick it up that day or whenever.

Just passing along information to those that are not able to attend an unveiling. Hopefully this works for other MAC stores.

MAC in Natick, MA just told me tonight about their Venomous Villians industry event on October 15th and 16th. I’m going on the 15th before taking a weekend trip to see my boyfriend’s parents’!

Hey Christine! Just thought I’d mention that the Event in South Coast Plaza in California will actually start on October 1st, not the 2nd.I just checked on the website.
It will be a 3 day event.

Do they usually allow you to purchase multiples of the same item? For example, I want 2 beauty powders in Her Own Devices (one for me and one for a gift), will they allow me to do that?

Im in canada in montreal!!! theres like 4-5 mac stores here!!! no idea if any of them have an early preview of the collection! i have no idea wat to do:( or how to check! thanks in case someone helps me out~
