The Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick is quite possibly one of the prettiest shades I’ve ever worn. I’m looking forward to the lipglass!
While I may not be able to wear an opaque lipstick of these colors, I think I could definitely get away with Cyndi in a more sheer tone. 🙂

I’m definitely getting both lipglasses and the Gaga bag. I love both of the lipsticks so much. Viva Glam Cyndi is the first red lipstick that I felt super confident wearing and though Gaga is super pink, I love rockin’ it anyway because I love Gaga<3

I might need the Gaga gloss. I passed on the Cyndi lipstick because I have a lot of reds right now and not a lot of storage. I wear the Gaga lipstick almost everyday – I’m very pale and it works so well with my skin tone! I need a backup STAT!
I got both the lipsticks, sight unseen, and swiped the Cyndi 3x…then I realized it was too coral/orange for me. The Gaga lipstick is just too…too…IDK, but I can’t wear either of them in lipstick form. A gloss may be more forgiving, so I’ll be sure to hit those. 😀
FInally, a launch that excites me, and it only has four products! I absolutely love the Cyndi lipstick, so I’ll be buying the lipglass for sure. Maybe two. Whilst I buy another backup of the lipstick.

You know MAC. You are really driving me nutty with all these fabulous collections. I can’t keep track and I don’t think I can save for all of them. Augh! I wish you would do a special promotions sometime, like buy one item get one free or 50% off. I missed the Cyndi & GaGa lippies when they came out because I wanted to save for another collection. Can’t wait to see the swatches of these lipglasses.
i agree i love mac but they’r too “classy” to make sales. Nobodies going to buy anyhting if they don’t give us a break once in a while lol
I know I know! It can definitely appear unfair to not offer sales/free gifts buuuuut, what a lot of cosmetic companies don’t tell you is that when they offer “sales” or “gifts with purchases” they ultimately will increase prices on their products to account for any “losses” incurred. Although it appears MAC is being stingy, it is truly a way to keep price points lower in comparison to other “high end” cosmetic companies to make things consistently more affordable.
MAC gives back and that is the most important thing they do. Both the Gaga + Cyndi lipstick sales goes to AIDS relief. It is your choice to buy it or not.
You didn’t miss out on the cyndi and gaga lippies…there going to be available for a whole year from the dà te they came out…which I think was in feb.
You can still get both lipsticks until February or March 2011. My MAC rep. said March. I agree with the other poster who said that it wouldn’t be very classy on MAC’s behalf to promote items for sale like CVS and Walgreens. They have to keep their reputation as solid as other competitors like NARS, Lancome, or MUFE. Still, it would be nice though considering for what I spent at MAC in the last two months, I could’ve bought three iPods.
Yeah, the way I view Stila has changed, because they DO have sales so often. It’s to the point where 20% off isn’t good enough — I’ll wait for them to do 40% off.
I’m glad the glam bags are coming back…I missed my op to get the gaga one. Anyway, I’ll be buying both lipglasses for the cause.
The glosses are the same exact shades as the lipstick and have their signatures on the outside like the lipstick tubes have on them when you take the cap off…oh and they are limited edition and will be available for 6 months only 🙂
OMFG I am buying two tubes of the Cyndi one for sure! I love love the lipstick version. It’s the perfect red/coral.
I do have the gaga lipstick, but that type of pink doesn’t look best on me and isn’t me really.

hmmm if the lipglass form of Cyndi’s lipstick color is similar….I might buy it because I love the that color! Buuutttt…..my mom took my lipstick because she loves it too TT
so when this gloss comes out….i’ll pick it up with another Cyndi lipstick haha

The viva glam Gaga is the prettiest pink lipstick I have ever found. I can’t wait for the lipgloss version of this. Why is Mac’s best products limited edition? I don’t understand the reasoning for ending such a successful promotion that goes for a good cause.
I think it may have to do with how long they can bind a celebrity/person to the line.

So there the same shades? They should have done somthing a little different like maybe a plum shade and orange shade so its more fun for layering. But im still getting 3 of each anyway.

Does anyone have any information on them yet? If they are coming out in 3 or 4 weeks I’m surprised we haven’t seen anything yet? I also want to know what the bags look like!
I’ve never seen those pics before, so thanks for sharing, Lacey! I don’t know if they’re legit or not, since I haven’t seen any official photos and haven’t heard of that site before… but they look like they’re it – very similar packaging to the lipsticks (signatures on the outside) and the shades look about right.

I question the authenticity of these glosses in this link because the other link shows the red signature of Gaga and Cyndi. I am also surprised that Christine wouldn’t have them as well if another blogger has them, hmph. I am counting the days though until I get the Gaga Glass….SO EXCITED!
No, those are the real photos – they looked just like the ones I saw in the update book. I just don’t post blurry photos or ones that are below our quality standards 🙂

Do you know whether the launch of the bags will be international? The last batch was US only, right?
Not sure yet!
I can answer that now! 🙂 At least here in Germany the bags will launch as well (so I guess that means international this time). According to my MAC counter they only will be available at MAC stores and not the counters. I’m not sure about online availability yet.

August 9th is for freestanding and Nordstrom. September for all locations. This post contains all the information I have.

Do you know if you can order the Lady gaga makeup bags online in august? (either on nordstroms website or mac’s website?) I really want to get the makeup bag. I didn’t get them last time :/

From the buzz going on, it sounds like it got pushed back to September 2nd.
I just called my local MAC freestanding store. They said that the Viva Glam lipglass lauch date has been changed to September. Is that true? How come there is no update/news on the change?
I haven’t heard anything about a change in the date yet… I know that originally only certain locations were going to have them in August and September for others.
No pictures of the bags yet?? It comes out tomorrow!! Can’t wait!

Neither nordstrom or maccosmetics.com has them up yet. my mall opens in litterally a half an hour so I will see if they have.

Just yet to Nordstrom, the ladies insisted this products date was always September 2nd, the other stores like Macy’s, Bloomingdales, etc. said September 16th.
It sounds like they pushed the release date back by about 2 weeks then (since originally, it was August 9th for Nordstrom/freestanding, September 2nd for everywhere else). Thanks, Lauren!
