From Kelly Osbourne’s Instagram

In June, MAC will release a collection in collaboration with Kelly and Sharon Osbourne. I don’t have any additional information at this time!

can’t wait! I remember kelly was obsessed with candy yum yum when it originally launched so I have a feeling that we’re going to either see that or something very similar with regards to lipsticks.

How? Both are current/relevant, are very well-known around the world, and garner attention for their personal aesthetic/style (whether positive or negative, it’s obvious both put in time & effort). Also, the appeal of a mother/daughter team is something novel, and not overdone (unlike “flavor-of-the-month” celebrities). Both have overcome alot over the years, and whether you like them or not, they will sell product. I’m personally a fan of both, mainly because I have alot of respect for them, and they are both absolutely beautiful women.

Sharon Osbourne is a savvy business women whose built quite a successful independent career after her family’s hit series ended in an industry that is brutal to older women, as well as surviving breast cancer while conducting her care under the public eye. Kelly Osbourne may have pulled back a bit from the industry, but she’s certainly matured beautifully and kept herself out of much of the trouble that young celebs seem to get into. (I also like she’s been up front about the fact that the kind of weight loss she exhibited is difficult and takes serious commitment to maintain.) I think MAC could do much worse by young women than selecting these two as collection frontrunners. 🙂

I couldn’t disagree more!

I love that MAC finally use some celebrities that don’t fit into the sex-symbol-bimbo look that they have been promoting lately! They are both very beautiful women, Kelly has her own unique style and I think it’s great that Sharon is included. I feel like we don’t see a lot of women above a certain age in the beauty industry.

Kelly and Sharon are both well known across the world and saying that MAC is scraping the bottom of the barrel is just plain rude!

I can see this theming into something like one side of the collection is made for young adults and one is made to work for more mature faces. I mean I don’t know anything more than you posted, but it seems like an angle they can take this into and honestly it makes more sense than some of the other collaborations they have done. Sharon and Kelly might not be my favorite celebs, but I can kind of understand this one.

That would be good to see – a collection for a mature, MAC lover. I am 46 and have a hard time tailoring some of today’s make-up to suit my age and profession. Great idea!

I hope this collection is not a bullsh*t like all the past collections, where almost everything is sold out in like 1 hour. Seriously MAC? I remember when I could by products from limited editions in a week or so.

That quad Sharon’s holding looks like nice colours! To be honest I don’t really take any notice of the celebs promoting for MAC-if I like the actual makeup, I would consider buying it. I wouldn’t avoid it if I like it, just because I don’t like a particular celebrity. At the same time I wouldn’t buy it because of a particular celebrity if I didn’t think the product was great.

But where are the Ozzie kohl/kajals and mascara (pronounced m’skah” ruh)? He always seemed to have more on than Sharon. Talk about the King of bad foundation match, probably purposeful….

Forget what celebs they choose, the question IS: will the quality of their LE launch ever again equal their standalone shades? And MAC certainly isn’t the only offender. Here’s lookin’ at you, Too Faced!

I think they should repromote Pleasure Bomb since Kelly likes her pink lipsticks! Maybe it would give those who got shut out of the Rihanna Pleasure Bomb release to try again. I could care less whose name is on the packaging, I just want Pleasure Bomb!!!

Meh. I’m not an Osbourne fan so I’ll be giving this collection a pass. (Also, the shadow quad Sharon’s holding up looks pretty blah – my resolution for 2014 is no more neutrals/nudes :D…too many in my collection, time for more color!)

But I would LOVE if MAC ever come out with a collection similar to L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Star Secrets or Collection Privee.

I wonder if MAC will ever enter into a year-long campaign again with the same artist? I so loved Rihanna’s campaign. I am looking forward to seeing this collection, as well. It is good to see artists loving what they do.
