MAC Cosmetics Now Selling Pro Palette Refills Online!
MAC Cosmetics is now selling pro palette refills online!
Yes, ONLINE! For those with only access to counters (or no access to stores at all!), you can score your eyeshadow pans online with ease. Not only that, but powder blush pans are also available online to all consumers–these aren’t even available at freeestanding stores (unless it’s changed recently)–typically only available at PRO stores.
You can also find the empty palettes for purchase under the “Kit Essentials” and then “Containers” section of the website (or quads, 15-pans, blush). I think some of you have some shopping to do! (And if you do, be sure to share your hauls in this post!)
Oh! This is absolutely wonderful! I had no idea they were planning to do this, but this basically makes my day. 🙂 Thanks for posting, I’m off to shop around a bit.
Yesterday I ordered the 15 Eyeshadow Palette and two Pro Pan Refills in Creme de Violet and All That Glitters! I myself was browsing on MAC’s website and just saw it! I was so happy! Now it’s so much easier for people who don’t have access to a MAC freestanding store.
This is such great news! Talk about a money & time saver. Unfortunately, the nearest PRO store is 2 hrs away from where I live so getting there doesn’t happen much if at all. No more having to depot eyeshadows, unless of course they’re LE. YIIIPPPEEEE!! Thanks Christine for sharing the super news!

This is pretty awesome! I’m sooo glad they’re doing this. What a money/time saver. I was getting sick of calling pro stores and having them ship or buying them from LJ communities (I JUST ordered 3 from 2 different sellers on there!) And no more having to depot, unless they’re LE or I buy from my counter, of course!

They do sell the blush pans in freestanding stores, but this is really awesome for everyone who doesn’t have a store close, i love getting the pan. It’s so much more professional looking than depotting and cheaper, i wish LEs would come in pan form. Luckily I have two freestanding stores nearby though, but congrats to everyone who is jumping for joy above lol.
Really? When did that happen? I knew they sold the empty blush palettes, but last time I asked for a blush pan, nobody knew what I was talking about (so I haven’t asked in a long time!).

OMG! This is awesome! Depotting those eyeshadows is a bitch. Not to mention trying to find the palettes at a decent price. This is just great. 😀 I’m so glad they finally did this.

Why are they cheaper? Are they smaller then the normal eyeshadows or something?
They’re cheaper because they don’t come in the pot, only the silver pan…less packaging.
Same size. You simply buy the little metal thing containing the eyeshadow and that’s all. As you don’t pay for the black plastic container, it’s automatically cheaper. You have to pick a palette to store them, though.
Do you have any idea if the Canadian MAC site will offer this too?!

OMG!!! FINALLY!!! I’ve been needing the PRO palettes so I can depot all my shadows!!!!(Because even though there are plenty of nice empty palettes out there we all want the MAC on the front!! LOL :)) Score! To think I wouldn’t have to make a MAC purchase this month!!!
I don’t believe the B2M work on the pans anymore. It’s been a long time. By selling the pans online they are def going to cut down the b2ms and it’s less waste.
The LE shadows / blushes never come in the pans though.. FYI

Yay! The closest freestanding store is almost an hour away…plus, I think the prices are better online too! Last time I went to the store, the PRO 4x e/s palette rang up at $5.50…looks like they’re $3.50 online. 🙂 One more week of exams, and then major haul time!

Awesome news, thanks Christine. I actually went to my freestanding store in richmond last month (which is 90 mins away) It was fun but thats a long drive. I actually planned on getting some 4 pan quads..and I when I saw this post I was so excited I went ahead and ordered them online. Way to go MAC for helpin us out!!

Do they sell them in little boxes, just like they do for their regular shadows?
They come in cards with little see-through holes at the front and back to let the colour show through.

MAC has made the best decision evr by doing this!! I have a freestanding store here in GA, but when I go in the store they have the most terrible attitudes evr!! Evn though I have to wait a few days to get it by mail, its well worth not having to deal with the bad attitudes!! GO MAC!! Yay!!
Will shape powder pans and sculpt powder pans (both pro) fit in a blush palette?

Hi Christine!! i am so sorry but i dont know anything about the refills. How does that work? Whenever you finish an eyeshadow from the palette can you refill with another pan? or do you have to buy a new palette? Thanx!!
You can buy empty palettes, and then you fill them up that way 🙂
