MAC A Rose Romance Now Online!

MAC Cosmetics has A Rose Romance Collection available for purchase (and admittedly, since yesterday!). Use code ROSE for free shipping! 🙂 I personally prefer shopping through Nordstrom.com, if only because I do get reward points and I can always select pick up in-store and not pay shipping. (Or, if you’re like me, you often qualify for free shipping since you tend to overspend!) Just do a search for the individual products on Nordstrom to find ’em.

We’ll have full product photos, swatches, and a detailed review for you all tomorrow, when we can head down and get everything in-store! But for now, check out our coverage so far!

but now that you mention it..Odyssey lipstick does look like an interesting colour.

Well I am NOT gonna get anything 🙁 But not by choice…we are going to Mexico for a week, leaving tonight so there is no way for me to gt to the mall to see the collection in person. AND I made a committment to myself to try and save money but not ordering things online, before having seen them…which hopefully would save me some money and allowing me not to get items that look great online but not so good in person. So unless they have some stuff when I get back from vacation…I won’t be getting anything.

Ahhh, I love Nordstrom. A new one opened last week, so they had the Rose Romance on sale since Friday as a promo.. I bought Magnetique lipglass and Summer Rose beauty powder… I love both.
I’ll probably be going back for some See Through Lip Color & maybe Odyssey (I’ve been tanning, so I need a darker lip color)

I picked up Of Summer eyeshadow, Rose Romance lipstick, Virgin Kiss lipglass and the nail varnish. I was really toying with getting the quad but I opted not to.

I definitely want the Nordstrom quad. I noticed online there is a second colored beauty powder. I would like to see this one swatched so i can decide which one i want more. Possibly Magnetique lipglass and/or Odyssey lipstick.

i am NW20 as well and i’d likely go for Blush of Youth. the other one looks way to purple for me (dark brown hair & eyes, NW20 skin)

I really only want the Mutiny pigment in this collection. My local CCO had alot of Mutiny and Circa Plum pigments about 2 weeks ago and I didn’t pick them up 🙁 I went there today and they were all out!! I’m skipping everything else, because I’m saving for Style Warriors and Naked Honey.

honestly I’m disappointed with this collection. I don’t really feel like its going to be very good with my NW20 skin and dark brown eyes. I will probably go to Mac Pro on Friday tho and pick up the 3 things I’m listing.

I did stick to my top 3…although I am considering Odyssey. I do have some confusion though after seeing your review on the Dior foundation…and how MAC figures out their cool and warm classifications. I am absolutely NOT a cool skin tone, yet I wear NW20…which on the website is described as being for pink tone/blue veins. I have some peachy-pink tones but not all blue veins and look HORRID in pinks/purples and greys… I tan very easily and look great (and have been recommended) warm tones by MAC artists (i wear Ramblin Rose, Skew and Meltdown regularly and the MAC girls love it). So what’s the deal?? I’ve narrowed it down to I have olive tones, not yellow, not pink. I’m so confused.

thanks christine!! I actually asked the artist at PRO and he explained why i was given an NW20 depending on what i was using it to cover, but yeah, overall foundation i may fall somewhere in NC. He also gave me a few hints on deciding whether to use NW or NC (again depending on what you are trying to cover). Love this site, i’m on here EVERYDAY LOL!!

So proud of myself! I sticked to my plan. two beauty powders and just a pinch.

now here comes the BUT… i am going to go back and get both those pigments. LOL

I actually really liked the see thru lipstain in secret crush (the others i didnt care for because of the shimmer) but i found that the just a pinch on the lips gives the same colour (no surprise because the colour descriptions are the even the same!) and in fact maybe a little less drying and no yucky after taste if you lick your lips. still debating because the seethru would be easier to slip in my purse – guess i’ll see whether the just a pinch needs reapplying after playing with it some more – if i dont need to reapply maybe i dont need either for my purse!

the perfume reminded me of a bathroom air freshener. sorry just my opinion!

Like your taste Stacey… look a my shopping bag and you’ll see why! we got the same stuff i am just on the fence about the see thru lipcolour because i can use just a pinch on my lips!
