Kind of one note warm to me. It could be great for some users, of course. Forest with one green? Kind of a dead forest to me. I loved Lorac back in the recent day. Before Markwins. More color and fun themes. Since the sale, I’ve been disappointed.
omg these are beautiful – i can never get enough mauve, brown, and green neutrals. i feel like i have dupes of these but soooo tempting
Can I just say I absolutely love the large palette and also Mystic Oak (love the name) and Frosted Sequoia. Heck, even Winter Rose looks lovely to my eye. I am such a fool for neutral palettes…you’d think I’d have built up some sort of resistance over the years but every time…whoa! I want ’em all!
The quality and pigmentation look amazing, but I do wish that the larger palette was way more colorful instead of just having one lone emerald green. KJH is correct; this looks like a dead forest.
However, I am eyeing Mystic Oak for a glowier smokey eye!
There’s something about these palettes that looks so desaturated. I look forward to the reviews and seeing your looks with it.
Agree! Nothing, but the green interests me because of that.
I wish that Fairytale Forest were more green/olive leaning. I am sooo tired of browns.
Me too. Most of them are a little too brown, the rose one is more brown than rose.
These are beautiful!! I especially like the little rose one.
You guys, send your résumés to Lorac. They need you, even for improving their neutral palettes.
I am glad to see someone doing a yellow-based neutral palette for a change, rather than the standard oranges and pinks. But I wonder if the large palette has enough depth for medium and deeper olive complexions.
I simply love, love and love all of these, yes, yes I do have enough of these kinds of palettes, but that doesn’t stop me AT ALL from wanting them. I do agree that one lonely, but lovely looking green shade does not constitute a forest (some sage shades would have been nice), but I think the larger palette is going to be mine one day soon..say a lovely Christmas present….I have a feeling that Mariella is going to think the same.
Of course it depends upon the reviews, but the swatches do look good to me.
I feel the same way. 🙂
These look very pretty, but the midtone mattes in the larger palette appear to run together – especially when I picture them on deeper skintones! 🙁 C’est la vie.
Yes you got all of these!! I fell completely in love with the Noir and Soleil after picking them up during Ulta sales a few months ago and knew I would be picking up this palette too. Is it sill to be excited about that greige taupe? After looking at all my new (within the last five years) palettes and realizing all the transition shades are unflattering on my skin and learning that pink-based shades (so, basically everything now) are the culprit…yeah, I’m excited about non-pink matte grey/brown/taupe all day. And mystic oak is catching my eye more than expected.
