Too Faced X Kat Von D FOTD
About this Look
I NEVER use silver or Taupey shades on my eyes, so I figured I’d use the new pallet as a oppertunity to branch out and experiment!!
Step-by-Step Guide
This is my look today!! It's a slilvery taupey, cooler eye look!
Base: Maybelline Baby Skin pore erasser primer, ELF Flawless finish foundation in Sand as foundation, MUFE Conceal/Correct pallet #1(The orangey/peach shade as undereye corrector/dark spot corrector, the greeny yellow overtop of the orange under my eyes, and the light pinky concealer to cover up redness!) MAC Loose Set powder to set my whole face, MAC Blot powder (Medium Dark) to mattify.
Cheeks: I used 3 MUFE shadows for this. I used D-826 (A reddish sparkly plum) as a blush, ME-512 (metallic light gold) as a highlight, and M-646 (Light neutral matte brown) as a bronzer/contour
Eyes: I primed with TFSI, Set that with a matte cream shadow, then took Urban Decay Combust (Light light matte brown) as a transition, Urban Decay Whiskey (Matte dark brown) on my outer V/crease to deepen and darken, then I patted KVD Darling (Metallic silvery taupe)onto my lids, blended a bit of KVD Yours (Matte grey) into the crease, then dotted the SMALLEST amount of KVD Devotion (matte black) onto my outer corners. I took a MAC 217 and buffed out everything, apllied two coats of mascara to my upper lashes, then did my winged liner with KVD Tattoo liner, smudged a bit of KVD Swoon (Intense metallic red) on my lower lashline, highlighted my brow bone with a matte white and the eyes are done!
brows: I don't fill in my brows, I just swiped some MAC Waterproof brow set through them, to get them into position/tint them lightly.
Lips: I applied two layers of Anastasia Potion Lip gloss!!
Shannon your look is gorgeous. But you do a fantastic cat ? eye .
It’s so perfect not to big not to small
Keep up the good work
Oh goodness!! Thank you SO much Paulette!! You just gave me the best compliment a gal can get LOL!
I always hate doing cat eyes on my hooded/uneven eyes. Because it’s so difficult. But the end result is usually pretty enough to keep trying 😛
This color combo and the way you put it together is perfection, Shannon! ?Definitely a great move on your part to incorporate the 2 shades from Naked Smoky into this to bring in a bit of warmth. I find I have to do the same with very silvery/cool shades, too.
I just learned that people can comment on our “Looks” On here, so I’m replying to your comment VERY late Nancy!! LOL.
Thank you so much!! 😀
I totally relate! My skin is so so yellow, when I use just straight silvery/cool shades I look so ill, and not bright and bushy tailed like I want to. I love adding a hint of warm brown!
