This is really pretty, Christine.
Very inspiring!
Thank you, CeeBee! This was one of my favorite looks!
Every one of your looks is just stunning! I LOVE this!!!
Thanks a lot, Stephanie! <3
Hi Christine, do you have any recommendation about a smoothing primer that helps with Sydney Grace shimmers? I much prefer mattes since shimmers (from pretty much every brand, SG included) make my skin look creepy. I would like to purchase one of two of your palettes, but since they all have more shimmers than mattes, I would like to know a primer that helps with that “fish-scales” effect I get with shimmers. Thank you!!
You might try using less and doing more of a buffing technique, so either a little bit on your fingertip and then use small, circular motions, or using a fluffier, but somewhat compacted, brush to do the same.
It doesn’t always work (some metallics I’ve had emphasize my skin texture a bit, when my eyes are drier) is to use them wet, which can smooth them out a little, though sometimes they get more reflective and that can be more intense and potentially emphasizing. For primers, I like Smashbox 24HR Photo Finish, as I don’t find it adds to dryness and isn’t tacky, so it is pretty foolproof to use.
My palettes are very much dominated by shimmer, so please know that if they don’t work for you, that’s OK, and you can always support by engaging with the content (like you did here!), sharing it, etc. 🙂
Gorgeous.
This sounds odd but your eye really looks like what I’d expect a solar system to, if I were in space.
The outer eye being the farthest reaches where light disappears; heliosphere–>heliopause–>Oort.
Haha! I always think of my eyes looking like tree roots!
Interesting! I guess that’s the beauty of art, everyone sees something a little different in it.
I think you did an amazing job with this palette! I wish I wasn’t allergic to the SG formula.
Thanks, Holly!
Ahh, that is such a bummer 🙁 Any idea what causes the allergy?
