About this Look

I wanted to challenge myself, so I decided to do a smokey eye using black eye shadow!!

Step-by-Step Guide

I primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. And set that with Elf Mad For Matte #1 (matte bone shade). then used MFM (mad for matte) #4 (matte beige shade) as a transition shade with a fluffy crease brush. With the same brush I dipped into MFM #3 (Matte warm brown) and used that into the crease and onto the hood. I went into MFM #5 (Matte red brown) and started deepening the outer corners. I switched to a pencil brush next. And took Urban Decay Smolder (a satiny/sheeny deep dark blackended purple) and applied that to my outer lid and crease. I switched to a 217 and buffed everything out, next! Then I took the same pencil brush and VERY lightly dipped into Black Market (matte intense black) and buiilt that up in layers on the outer corners!!I added mascara, and some of Smolder on my lower lashline. And we're done!!

Thank you SO much Dawn!!!! I really appreciate it!! 😀

Im usually terrified to work with black shadow, it can go wrong SO quickly ahah!!

Looks beautiful. Perfect. I get scared working with black shadow too. Gotta find one that is not dry-ish. Nice and smooth.
The look didn’t look harsh but very natural. You look very pretty.
What mascara did you use ?
