About this Look

I wanted to challenge myself, so I decided to do a smokey eye using black eye shadow!!

Step-by-Step Guide

I primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. And set that with Elf Mad For Matte #1 (matte bone shade). then used MFM (mad for matte) #4 (matte beige shade) as a transition shade with a fluffy crease brush. With the same brush I dipped into MFM #3 (Matte warm brown) and used that into the crease and onto the hood. I went into MFM #5 (Matte red brown) and started deepening the outer corners. I switched to a pencil brush next. And took Urban Decay Smolder (a satiny/sheeny deep dark blackended purple) and applied that to my outer lid and crease. I switched to a 217 and buffed everything out, next! Then I took the same pencil brush and VERY lightly dipped into Black Market (matte intense black) and buiilt that up in layers on the outer corners!! I added mascara, and some of Smolder on my lower lashline. And we're done!!

Looks beautiful. Perfect. I get scared working with black shadow too. Gotta find one that is not dry-ish. Nice and smooth.
The look didn’t look harsh but very natural. You look very pretty.
What mascara did you use ?
