Looks – Subdued Gold with Dark Greens

I think I’m actually going to be late to school because I’m posting this, LOL! I have about… eight minutes to shower and get ready before I need to be out the door. Seriously, do you ever just get caught up doing internet-related things, whether it be browsing or writing someone an email? I always fall prey to it! Ask my boyfriend – he has to drag me away from Temptalia sometimes or else nothing in my life would get done! (Honestly, it’s not quite THAT bad!) Anyway, I did this look on Saturday, figuring I’d give Soft Ochre paint pot a shot (despite the huge paint pot following, I am not among it), and I rather liked how it ended up coming together. Happy hump day – hope you all are having a fab week! I hate Wednesdays, mostly because it’s my longest day of school (9am-4pm), and STARBUCKS! is the only thing that can get me through these kinds of days.  *edited to add* Totally wasn’t late to school.  In fact, five minutes early!

I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Nanogold eyeshadow on inner lid, Goldmine eyeshadow on middle of lid, Velvet Moss eyeshadow on outer lid, Femme Noir eyeshadow on outer crease, Nanogold eyeshadow above crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow, and Feline kohl power on lower lash line. I wore Margin blush with Light Flush mineralize skinfinish to highlight on my cheeks. I had Tiger Tiger lipstick with Vital Spark lipglass and Tres Cher lipglass on my lips.

Gahh, they’re all I buy these days. There’s just too much to pass up, and as a result, my permanent collection is just very small and limited. I keep telling myself I’ll dive more into it, but then I’m distracted by all of the LE ones!

Lovin’ it. Great use of those green shades, its almost like a smokey green/gold look – perfect for anywhere really. Great lip & cheek combos as well 🙂

Did you decide to keep Light Flush? It really does look pretty on you! I know you mentioned you really weren’t a fan of MSFs, but maybe this one might convert you… 😉

Thanks, Ariele! Give me gold or give me green… or give them both to me, because I adore these shades!!

I still have it, but I haven’t bothered to purge my collection in quite some time. It’s all right, but for me, it’s just another highlighter – I don’t think it’s going to turn me into a MSF fanatic 🙂 It’s not so much that I’m not a fan, but more that I can’t figure out what makes them SO FAB!

Hi Christine, I love the way you line your lower eyes – somehow I can never do mine that way- with the liner sort of spilling out of your eyes (that’s the only way I can describe the look!). Could you try to explain how you do it – with pictures if possible? Thanks!

Thanks, Anj! I think maybe what you mean is that my waterline (the lower rim of your eye) is black. It’s really just a matter of applying the liner to that part of your eye!

My previous comment mysteriously disappeared…what I wanted to ask was how you line your lower eyelids – how do you get the liner to spill out 🙂 into the lashes? Could you do a mini-tute on that? Thanks
