Looks - Still Noticeable, but Somewhat Subtle Purples

The air tour was a really great once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing, because you really do get to see some amazing sights that aren’t easily seen by car. Unfortunately, I spent most of the tour motion sick, LOL. I kept my eyes open and still watched, but I don’t think I’d do it again, just because I felt so awful 🙁 I’m hoping when we do the Zipline that I don’t experience any of that. Ahh, I get motion sick playing video games and just standing in the ocean, I should have known better and have taken some Dramamine ;P Today, we head up to the north shore, and my sister and I are going on an “Ocean Bluff” horseback ride. I’ve never been horseback riding, so I hope it goes well! I don’t even know if I’ve even been up close to a horse. I’ve ridden an elephant (I don’t remember it) and a camel (I remember that!) before… should be fun 🙂

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Your Ladyship pigment (light neutral with pink undertones base), Thunder eyeshadow (pale gray-purple), Stars N Rockets eyeshadow (fuchsia-purple), Parfait Amour eyeshadow (cool purple), Ricepaper eyeshadow (soft neutral highlighter), UD 24/7 Rockstar Eye Liner (purple), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Don’t Be Shy blush (cool pink)
  • Lips: Fun Fun lipstick (cool, pale pink), Cult Fave lipglass (pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Your Ladyship – Vanilla; Thunder = Shale; Don’t Be Shy = Well Dressed; Fun Fun = Snob; Cult Fave = Florabundancce

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Your Ladyship pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. Apply Thunder eyeshadow to inner third of the lid using the 239 brush. Follow by applying Stars N Rockets eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken outer lid with Parfait Amour eyeshadow, then drag color into outer crease to deepen, using the 239. Soften harsh lines with Thunder eyeshadow swept above crease. Highlight brow with Ricepaper eyeshadow. Line lower lash line with UD 24/7 Rockstar Pencil. Sweep apples of cheeks with Don’t Be Shy blush using the 129. Apply Fun Fun lipstick to lips, and then top with Cult Fave lipglass for color and shine.

Wow you know you remind me so much of myself…because i’m a pale light brown complexion if there was such a thing and I have really dark brown more like black hair and eyebrows…so whenever I see you, it’s like looking at myself. But with this look, i really saw myself because i’m into the pale pink lips right now…lol…i just love ur looks. i really look forward to them daily! Keep em comin twinny:)

Oh, I feel you on the plane thing. I did a barf-worthy tour in the tiniest plane over Nazca, Peru – while it was gorgeous and worth it, I had to be near carried off afterwards… So good luck on the horsies! Not nearly as frightening, I can assure you.
Looking good doing it, either way.

A hint on horseback riding; take an anti-inflamatory right before and after the ride. Even if you’re in really good shape, if you’re not used to riding, your butt and upper thighs are going to be super angry. I learned this the hard way in Tahoe. LoL If you have access to a hot tub, plan on using it, it helps a lot.

Zip lines shouldn’t make you too sick. It’s kind of like going down a long slide.

Wow I love this look!! I’ve actually been combing your site for a super sexy purple look to wear with a dress that I bought from bebe (going to see the boyfriend in San Diego!) I love love love this look… but cant pull off pinks. What would you use instead of pink on the lids? Maybe a light gold.. or would that muddy it out? Any help would be helpful ladies! I’m a tad darker than Christine (M80 in Cover FX). Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Christine! I’m glad you had a nice time with the airtour, regardless of your motionsickness. I love this look, girl. (I love all purple looks, but still.) It’s nice in terms of subtlety and daytime wear. Look at you, rockin’ the color on vacay! I hope you have a fun time horseback riding. (I love horseback riding, but I haven’t ridden in a couple years. I’d love to get back on the horse! It’s really very fun.) I will totally check out the UD pencil; it looks amazing.
