Looks - Naughty Nauticals Purple & Blue with Lark About

Quick look using Naughty Nauticals stuff, but I wasn’t satisfied with how it came out! The cool duochrome nature of Lark About & Stars ‘N Rockets is SO awesome, but it didn’t capture whatsoever in the photos. For some reason, I don’t any cool pink lipsticks (?!), or at least I couldn’t find any, which is what I really wanted to do as a lip base in this look!

I used Lark About pigment on lid, Vex eyeshadow on inner lid, Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow on middle of lid, Submarine eyeshadow (LE) on outer lid and crease, Vex eyeshadow above crease, Shroom eyeshadow on brow, Lark About pigment on lower lash line, Feline kohl power (LE) on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore True Romantic beauty powder blush (LE) with Lovely Lilac beauty powder (PRO) on cheeks. I had Sweetie lipstick with Ms. Fizz dazzleglass (LE) on my lips.

** These are recommendations for dupes based on permanent colors available — may not necessarily be identical; they are the closest I can think of!
Lark About = Frozen White; Submarine = Blue Storm, Naval, Deep Truth; True Romantic = Breath of Plum; Ms. Fizz = Flashmode (maybe)

anyways, i just have a suggestion..how about you include photos of the products used for the looks ‘cos not all of us are familiar with the shades or products so i think it would be really useful if we could see how the products actually look like 🙂

I went down to get NN today, absolutely adore the pigments! This is my fave NN look on you, love the way you matched stars n rockets! And the duochrome effect of Lark About!!! Loveeee! Off to recreate this look…

Hey Christine, I ended up buying all the pigments except Lovely Lily. None of the eyeshadows really caught my eye, I could think of Dupes for most of them. I think Mutiny is such a unique colour, a more blue based turquoise as compared to Shimmermoss, aquadisiac etc. How do you find Mutiny?

I would caution against using Flashmode as a dupe for Ms. Fizz, flashmode is closer to Love Alert IMO. I haven’t found ANYTHING remotely close to Ms. Fizz (which depresses me immensely because that and Funtabulous are my fave dazzleglasses). I am going to cry when I run out!!!! To get the same funky look (though not identical to ms. fizz) I would probably use fuchsia pigment with Love Knot over it, at least there is some interesting blue/white duochrome finish to it. sigh. Can you tell I love the effects of blue/white and pink? 🙂

Hey Candace! Thanks for the heads up! I usually only list the product I find to be the closest (and I only list combos if it really is hard to find anything remotely like it), so I definitely didn’t mean to say they’re the same or that it’s even a great dupe!

I know! It’s really hard to find dupes for some things… I’m praying they bring dazzleglass back as permanent!!!! And preferably in a regular sized container to get more 😀 heehee. It does last a long time on the lips but it runs out so fas 🙁
I’m thinking you could also use pigment with flashmode over, since it is so sparkly.
I don’t know that many people that want a dupe of ms. fizz anyway… 🙁 More people I’ve ran across love Like Venus and those similar shades!
