Looks - Brighter Neutrals with Browns That Pop

This look was done on Sunday 🙂 Something neutral while celebrating my sister’s birthday with the fam. I did a very neutral look today (which I love, can’t wait to share), as some of my relatives are in town, and I’m five minutes from heading out to meet up with my family and the extended family members for dim sum (mmm!).

Happy hump day!

EDITED: UGH! Don’t post in hurry! Actual pictures up!

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (creamy neutral base), Dreammaker eyeshadow (soft yellow-gold), Bold & Brazen eyeshadow (coppery brown), Go! eyeshadow (dark gold-brown), Orpheus kohl power (gold-black), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Dainty mineralize blush (soft peachy pink)
  • Lips: G*psy Rose Pro Longwear Lustre Colour (medium pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Dreammaker = Nylon; Bold & Brazen = Twinks; Go! = Woodwinked, Orpehus = Buried Treasure; Dainty = Peachykeen, G*psy Rose = Skew

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Dreammaker eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Bold & Brazen to the middle of the lid, overlaying it with Dreammaker. Darken the outer lid using Go! eyeshadow and drag into crease using the 239. Sweep Dreammaker underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Orpheus kohl power on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Dainty using the 129. Apply G*psy Rose liquid lip color to lips, and then top with gloss side for color and shine.

I really love this look hun!

Oh and your substitutes have the wrong info, maybe form a previous post, just so ya know:)

Very pretty look though, I can’t wait to get my hand on some of the prolong wear:)

I wore a look using Dreammaker to too. I wasn’t going to buy it but when I went to get the items I did want it spoke to me and turns out to be different enough that I grabbed it. I think it’s going to be a favorite of mine.

Sooo pretty!
How come the colors seem so light on you? Is it the flash, a very light application, your skintone? Bold&Brazen seems so dark in the pan!
Also loving the lip color.

You look gorgeous! I really think neutrals with a slightly bold lip are really your thing 🙂 I planned on stopping by MAC on my way home today to pick up Bold & Brazen as well as check out the rest of the Lustre Twins (so far, I only picked up Ripe & Ready). Gypsy Rose is soooo lovely on you though – I think I need it 🙂

Love this look! Working under a fluorescent lighted office environment I only wear neutral looks like this one.

Btw…Dim sum is the bomb diggity!!! My fave!!!

Nice look! I love Dainty…just bought it, too. I always wanted NARS Orgasm Blush, but I think Dainty is a total dupe for it…I’m not absolutely sure about this, though. Can anyone tell?

you’re a doll! you have my exact eye color, too. i’ll try this look, but i don’t think i’ll pull it off as well as you! you should swing by my blog for my lucca bag giveaway!

That’s a gorgeous look! You definitely pull off bold lip colours very well. This look just makes me want Orpheus kohl power and Go! eyeshadow even more! Do you think those would still be in stores?

And wow, Gypsy Rose is super bright and bold. Is the colour that bright because you applied a lot of the PLW or because that’s the way you have to apply it. I was thinking of getting one of them for everyday use, but I don’t know if they’ll look patchy if I just apply them lightly (especially the lip colour…I’m not so worried about the gloss).

Great look! I love the neutrals from this collection although I didn’t get the lighter highlighting shades. Plus I have Nylon & don’t love it as I think I would.

Go swatched more like Tempting (I don’t own) at the counter than Woodwinked, which was interesting to me in that YMMV way with skintones.

LOVE the look! I got GO last week but havent worn it yet. I was thinking of getting Dream maker but I thought it looked like Rose Blanc and I wasn’t sure if I should get it. Are they dead on similar, Christine?
