Look - Simple Green & Dark Green Eyes

This is the look I wore to the Benefit breakfast yesterday 🙂 (This is, obviously, before Benefit made me over!) I didn’t think something this simple would turn out this lovely!

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Juxt eyeshadow (pastel green), Bottle Green eyeshadow (dark green), Prussian eyeshadow (dark blue), Soft Force eyeshadow (highlighter), Prescriptives Grotto Liner (green), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Margin blush (coral-pink)
  • Lips: Brave New Bronze lipstick (pinky nude), Chanel Tangerine Dream (coral)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Brave New Bronze = Honeylove

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the lid, pack Juxt eyeshadow on using the 239. Darken crease with Bottle Green eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Prussian eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Soft Force eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Prescriptives Grotto Liner on lower lash line. Apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Margin blush using the 129. Apply Brave New Bronze lipstick to lips, and then top with Chanel Tangerine Dream for color and shine.

Beautiful! I absolutely love Bottle Green; I use it in almost every green look I do. I haven’t tried pairing it with Juxt, though *makes a note*

Wow, you know, when i saw your pic from the Benefit store yesterday, i thought you had used silver/grey shadows. Must have been your sweater that originally made it look that way to me. However, now that i see this close-up, the colors are just gorgeous together. You’re right, so simple, yet so beautiful. I love it!

I really like this look! What do you think is a good dupe for Bottle Green? (it doesn’t necessarily have to be MAC either) I’m not near a pro store to pick Bottle Green up.

Gorgeous! Love this look! It’s funny, I did a simple green look yesterday as well [Greenstroke paintpot on lid, Juxt on lid, Humid in crease, UD Midnight Cowgirl (like Nylon) to highlight]. It’s really good when a simple eye make-up look turns out really nicely!

Saira – so funny you mention this look of yours cause I rock the same look quite often. i really like it! greenstroke pp, juxt on lid & humid in crease. only difference is i sometimes use gorgeous gold to blend out just above crease & use femme fi as my highlight. great minds think alike 😉 LOL

It’s really cool when you find a nice simple, colourful look that works, isn’t it? I might have to try a light gold-toned eyeshadow as you suggested, just to try something new with it.

That’s a shame that you don’t have Greenstroke anymore. Am sure there’s an alternative green base colour you could use. I really like Greenstroke, as it gives a subtle hint of green colour beneath the eyeshadows.

That grotto liner looks beautiful. How does it hold up on your waterline? I’m considering getting it, but it depends on the longevity.

This look is jaw dropping beautiful! I’m going to do it tomorrow! Thanks for the inspiration! I love the way you’ve separated the Eyes, Cheeks, Lips stuff btw in the post – it looks really nice!

This look is so fun! totally gorgeous:) i love greens and i must get that Juxt eyeshadow…my problem is, whenever i do a look, i don’t achieve to get that boundary of colors just like yours:((…mine always look like all the colors are so smoked up and mudded down, lol! i really need to work on my blending skills:(

anyways, lovely work as usual:) thanks for sharing your talent to us <3

Really love this look. I have Juxt, I’ll have to see if they have Bottle Green on EBay, I can’t get stuff from MAC Pro.

Ah, found it…but with all the collections coming out in July, who knows when I’ll have money. Thank God my birthday in July, I just might be able to get everything I want. =P
