Look: NARS Melusine Eyeshadow Duo

Look:  NARS Melusine Eyeshadow Duo

Here’s the look I talked about in my review of NARS Melusine!  This was a super quick look — I think it took five minutes at most.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply the silver-plum shade on the lid. Lightly blend the eggplant eyeshadow in the crease and diffuse upwards with the 217.  Blend Trench eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Black Swan eyeliner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Albatross blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Gillian lipstick first, and then layer Imaginaire lipgloss for a complementing lip.

LOVE!! Will probably add this to my holday shopping list…”one for her, one for me”. Sigh. That’s been this years trend. My visa card will soon be on lockdown. But I’ll look good at least!

This look is gorgeous, Christine – purple eyeshadows are my favorites, I’ll definitely be trying something like this soon! (Also, I never knew there was another freckle on your cheek there, I can never see it through your smile! It makes you look even more adorable :3)

Gorgeous look! I have been eyeing that due — except the plum looks exactly like Fig 1 by MAC. Does MAC have a dupe for the silvery lilac color??

Lovely lovely 🙂 I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it before, but this is the ONE look I’ve always wanted to be able to do — a pop of purple in the crease with an otherwise neutral eye. I just love it! Pretty, fun, and really easy…

But of course, with my wonderful luck, I ended up without a crease at all *eye roll* 😛

oh wow, I JUST received Albatross and Melusine also, from the VIB sale at Sephora! I absolutely love Albatross, I wish I had bought it sooner, its perfect on me, and it looks beautiful on you too! Thanks for this look with Melusine, I was wondering how this would look on me and was hesitant to use it. Now I’m pretty sure I will look good on me as well, as we have similar coloring (i’m a C30).

One request if you have time, can you also do a look with the Dior Five Golds quint? I bought it right after seeing your review & beautiful swatches of it, but I’m a little intimidated by the strong colors and not sure of how to do a look with it yet….
Thank you!
