Look: Guerlain Holiday 2011
Look: Guerlain Holiday 2011
This is a look I did to test out Guerlain’s holiday collection! 🙂
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Guerlain Les Ombres de Nuit 4-Colour Palette (silvery pewter, teal, navy blue, black), Lancome Doll Eyes Mascara (black), Burberry Trench Eyeshadow (highlighter)
- Face: Guerlain Lingerie de Peau (02 & 03), Guerlain Les Violettes Mineral Powder (03), Guerlain Perles de Nuit Meteorites (illuminator, on my left cheek), Guerlain Parure de Nuit Pressed Powder & Blush (illuminator, on my right cheek)
- Lips: Guerlain Nuit d’Amour (plummy red)
For eyes, start by applying the silvery-pewter shade on the lower half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply the teal shade to the upper half of the lid and into the crease with the 239. Apply the navy blue shade into the crease and diffuse with the 222. Then apply Trench on brow bone to highlight with the 272. Next, apply the black shade on the lower lash line with a dampened 208 brush. Coat lashes with Doll Eyes mascara to finish the look.
For face, apply Lingerie de Peau all over face with the 109. Lightly dust on either illuminator (listed above) with the 165 or 188 on cheek bones. Set with Les Violettes with the 134.
For lips, apply Nuit d’Amour on lips straight from the tube.
beautiful….! I am smiling too!
Thanks, Jenny!
Stunning Christine! I’m speechless
Thank you, Mari!
I really like that plummy red on you! Are you wearing body glitter on your chest?
It’s Guerlain’s Vol de Nuit – did not realize it would catch the light quite to that degree… was really just testing out wear!
I love this look! The colors are fabulous!!!
And… Thank you Christine for all that you do to bring us the most current make-up information! I always check with you first before buying something… I know it must be hard work – but clearly you are loving what you do! Kudos!
Thank you so much, Cathy!
stunning!!!
Thanks, Angie!
this look is enchanting:) i love your eye make up, but the LIPS…i ve so fallen in love with this lip color!!!! i love plummy reds 🙂
Thank you, Camikatze!
Christine you look gorgeous! Your eyes really pop with this look.
Thanks, Sarah Rojo!
Love the quad, will pick that up for sure! And the lipstick is much prettier than I expected. 🙂 I can see you’ve tested Vol de Nuit as well. 🙂
Vol de Nuit is so problematic. It is not a product for photography at all (at least not under any flash or bounced flash conditions). It looks terrible, but it’s so pretty in real life!
I always like how you complete your look, perfect combination of lips and eyes.
Thank you, Nidhi!
Gorgeous! I love the sparkle on your collarbone. I’m always so drawn to anything glittery… it was the first thing I noticed in the picture. Lol. 🙂
Haha!
It looks beautiful on you! Thank you for including a photo of al the products to show us what could be done with them….you know, if we had awesome skin and skillz. :p
Thanks, Sara!
Very pretty application…..classy….just want to comment, no matter what different mascara you use, they all looks the same.
Well, thanks for letting me know!
She doesn’t put a lot on her eyes I think t
Gorgeous! You make want to have this palette now!
Thanks, Ashley!
I am loving this eye and lip combo! Going to try it out on me
Thank you, Naomi!
Please review that lipstick, it’s gorgeous!!
This is a lovely look. I’m quite smitten with that lip colour. And thanks for showing both the Meteorites and the blush/ highlighter at the same time… I’ll admit, I can’t *really* tell the difference, although I imagine it’s less subtle in person.
Thanks, Kate!
oh. i thought i didn’t like this palette. once again i was wrong.
So beautiful!
Thanks so much, Marian!
Absolutely gorgeous, one of my favourite looks you’ve done!

The eyes are lovely! It’s great to see a blue look that’s sophisticated – not too bright or “in your face”.

Thank you, Shannon!
How would you compare your fave Parure Gold to Lingerie de Peau? Is it better?
Parure Gold has more coverage and a totally different finish – they’re very different.
SO GORGEOUS! You are so good at creating looks I need you to teach me! 🙂
Thanks, Marina!

Thank you, Andreea!

Thanks, Monika!
That last photo? INSTANT BLOG CRUSH. Could you look any more like a makeup goddess? So very pretty!!
I love how the lip color works with this eye look! I would have never put those together myself but seeing it together it looks absolutely stunning! another amazing look!
This is so pretty. I’d love to see a video tutorial. The thing I really appreciated is that you didn’t use an eyeliner on the upper lid which is so unexpected yet sacrifices nothing. Really lets the colors you used standout. And for girls like me with smaller eyes it will help to make them look bigger. Don’t get me wrong. I love eyeliner but pictures like this prove that liner is not necessary for a dramatic look.
ohhh my, those are so not my colours, but you look absolutely stunning!
Hey!
My name is Adi, and I think you are such an amazing make-up artist, each one of your looks is so flawless and beautiful! I am trying to get started in cosmetology school, and I was wondering how you got started. I’d love to chat with you about schools and how you were able to put your talent to work. If you could e-mail me with some information about schools and other need to know information, I would be forever grateful.
I hope to hear from you!!
-Adi
I didn’t go to school!
Really?!?!?1 YOU’RE ARE SO TALENTED!!!!
Your skin looks FANTASTIC here! Not that it doesn’t usually but really, it looks flawless. Do you love that Guerlain foundation?? Can you review it? And maybe the powder too?
Thank you!
Janet
Thank you!
