Look – Deep, Dark Browns and Red Lips

I’m going to my sister’s piano recital later on this evening, so I wanted to do something special for that 🙂 What are you doing this weekend?

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Copperbeam pigment (dark gold-brown), Brash eyeshadow (copper), Woodwinked eyeshadow (antique brown), Bronze eyeshadow (dark brown), Spiced Chocolate eyeshadow (matte dark brown), Ricepaper eyeshadow (soft highlighter), Urban Decay Zero 24/7 Liner (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Fleurry blush (soft peachy coral)
  • Lips: Sci-Fi-Delity lipstick (frosty raspberry), Cult of Cherry lipglass (red)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Copperbeam = Tan; Brash = Amber Lights; Spiced Chocolate = Swiss Chocolate; Fleurry = Peachykeen; Sci Fi Delity = Captive; Cult of Cherry = Russian Red

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Copperbeam pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On inner lid, apply Brash eyeshadow with the 239 brush. Apply Woodwinked eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Bronze eyeshadow and drag into crease using the 239. Add depth to crease by applying Spiced Chocolate eyeshadow with the 239 brush. Sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Zero 24/7 Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Fleurry blush using the 129. Apply Sci-Fi-Delity lipstick to lips, and then top with Cult of Cherry lipglass for color and shine.

Love this look. I’ve noticed your teeth look whiter these days, what did you use to whiten them? I don’t mind my Crest white strips, but I’m always looking for better.

GORGEOUS! I love the metallic look of it! It looks spectacular!

Also, I got the prize I won today in the mail and I just have to say THANK YOU!!! The brushes are SOOOO AWESOME! You’re the best! 😀 I never win contests, so this is so special! I love this site! 😀

That’s what I call a total art work.
I have to use my Smoking Quad. Do you think Showstopper or Smoking can substitute Spiced Chocolate and Mulch or Satin Taupe could replace Bronze?

Oh, wow!

Thanks, Nicole!

Showstopper could replace Satin Taupe, probably. It’s quite dark, kind of cool. Mulch could be an OK Bronze in a pinch – maybe put a little Showstopper mixed in to darken it.

I like it 😀 the red lips look good on you.. somehow makes me think of snow white (just cause of the dark hair and red lips.. you’re not very pale haha!)

I love it!!! OMG this is an absolutely stunning look!

lol this will show all those people that think brown eyeshadow is boring!

I love your technique, your makeup is always flawless and the colours always complement each other! (how do you do it??!)

its lovely and I will have to try this on myself, your great inspiration, Christine!!!

this look is gorgeous! i absolutely adore bronze-y type of colours. i think this look is great for fall as well.
this weekend is the chinese mid-autumn (or lantern) festival and so i’ll be celebrating with family. i’m planning to do a special look that represents the festival.. so hopefully it’ll all work out! 🙂

You look REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY PRETTY HERE! *goes surfing on the internet to find pictures of hunks to prevent self from turning lesbian* Will not allow parents to kill me.

HAHAHA I’m just kidding – but you do look especially pretty here!

wow, my first time to leave a comment. I have to say you are beautiful! You are an excellent makeup expert. Everything you tried on just look so exotic and pretty. I wish i could do that…

btw, which mascara did you use, Christine? thanks.
