Look - Dame Edna Wisteria Trio Eye
Quick Dame Edna look for y’all today! 🙂 Wisteria is a really, really pretty blue — but I probably wouldn’t use it to justify buying the entire palette, since the other two shadows are easily duped and their textures aren’t even great (feel like lustres to me, yuck!). Fineshine, especially, gets all over the place.
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Mutiny pigment (teal-blue), Fineshine eyeshadow (silver), Wisteria eyeshadow (light blue-aqua), Divine Night eyeshadow (dark gray-silver), Femme-fi eyeshadow (highlighter), Urban Decay Ye-yo 24/7 Liner (white), Presriptives Grotto Eye Liner (green-blue), Plushlash mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Spectacle! beauty powder (powdery pink), Dior Rose Diamond Skin Shimmer (shimmery pink)
- Lips: B-Babe lipstick (frosty pink), Red devil lipglass (coral with red tones)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Mutiny = Delft; Fineshine = Electra; Wisteria = Clear Sky Blue; Divine Night = Knight Divine; B-Babe = Bombshell; Red Devil = Lychee Luxe
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Mutiny pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Fineshine eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Wisteria eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Divine Night eyeshadow and drag into crease using the 239. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Ye-yo 24/7 Liner and Prescriptives Grotto liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Spectacle! beauty powder using the 129, highlight with Dior Rose Diamond shimmer. Apply B-Babe lipstick to lips, and then top with Red Devil lipglass for color and shine.

Gorgeous! Now I definitely can’t wait to get the Wisteria Trio. And I can’t wait to see a look using the Royal Tour Trio. I love the lips too, such a pretty shade of pink.
Thanks so much! 🙂 Hopefully I can do one soon.
Oh by the way…does MAC have any frosty white eyeliners? I didn’t see any on the site, but maybe there are some limited edition ones? If not, I guess I’ll have to suck it up and buy Ye-yo.
There’s Frostlite and Fascinating (I think that’s it) eye kohl as far as white liners go from what I remember!
You look really cute in this look!
Thanks, Faiza!
I really like this look on you!! What liner did you use on the upper lash line?
Thanks, Andrea! Penultimate liner!
Blues look awesome with your dark brown eyes 🙂
Looking good!
Thanks so much, Miss Dee Canada 😉
Fineshine probably feels like a lustre because it IS a lustre. Divine Night is supposed to be a velvet. Either way, not the best textures.
I was pretty sure Fineshine was a lustre, but wasn’t sure (and I was too lazy to go to the bathroom to check). But yes, agreed, the textures suck.
I absolutely LOVE Blue eyeshadow on people! You are no exception! I swear you look 10 years younger, which would make you 10;)
Thank you, Sash! 🙂 LOL!
Gorgeous!!
Thanks, Susanne!
*sigh* I wish I could pull off blues like you can! 🙂
Oh and a side note for the Lustres: You should try applying them with a bit of Mixing Medium! That prevents them from “glitter fallout” and you get an almost metallic application! 🙂
Thanks, Linda!
You don’t find it ruins the eyeshadow afterwards, though? I hate those wet spots!
Love it Christine, you were the person who got me into trying blue eyeshadow 🙂
Thanks, Chica!
AWW, so glad you gave blue a try 🙂
beautiful look
Thank you so much, Steffi!
I was only going to get the other eyeshadow trio, but I think I will get this one too. It’s a really lovely look.
I have just ordered them both. And the beauty powders. And a lipstick and lipglass. 😮 This is all your fault, Christine, I didn’t know much about MAC before I started reading your blog! 🙂
Nice haul!
LOL, sorry ;P We ARE quite enablers around here on Temptalia.
Thanks so much, Anitacska 🙂 Glad you liked this look!
What a great frosty winterlook.
Thanks, Nicole 🙂 Happy holidays!
I like this a lot, this may change my mind on buying that trio now!
Thanks so much, Kayla! LOL, aww. I wish I could fully endorse this palette, because Wisteria IS really pretty, but I must admit Mutiny has a large hand in that!
That’s so pretty! 🙁 I get so annoyed with you.
😛 I’m kidding.
LOL!!
Thanks, Jenna 😉
Am I the only one that noticed that you have the new lipstick and lipglass from BBR already??? How did you get B-Babe and Red Devil so soon? I’m jealous cause they are gorge!
I was able to score some from MAC early 🙂 Just those items, though — there is a post a little ways back with photos and swatches of the products I was able to get my hands on.
ooohhh u look so lovely hun!!!
love love love it!!!
Thank you so much!!
Love this look! Is there a dupe for Wisteria that is permanent?
Thanks, Liz! No real permanent dupe for Wisteria — could try Aquadisiac, though it’s aqua and not blue.
I got something very similar to Wisteria layering Electric Eel on top of Gesso. Veeeeery chalky, but I think I might stick to this combination and skip Wisteria, as I probably wouldn’t use such a bold colour too often anyway 😉
Ohhh, interesting. That’s a great idea, though 🙂 I wonder if a frosty white might make it less chalky but similar in color?
OMG what a stunning look, Christine! Lucky me to have Mutiny pigment. I’ve been lemming Clear Sky Blue pigment for a long time and you’ve just confirmed – Wisteria is very similar in color! Many complained about texture of CSB but if this is the only way to make this gorgeous, vivid turquoise blue at this point, I’m ready to put an extra effort into blending. Does MUFE have a vibrant blue color similar to Wisteria? I expect Hello Kitty blue to be very close to Wisteria (maybe a bit more teal?) but I wouldn’t be willing to buy the entire quad just for one blue e/s.
Thanks, Sunshine! Mutiny is gorg, I’m so glad you have it 🙂
There is actually also a Sky Blue eyeshadow at PRO, I do believe (unless they discontinued it). I’m not very familiar with MUFE unfortunately, so I have no idea if they do — but it wouldn’t surprise me. 😉
I love it. Very bright!
Thanks a ton, Rio!
You definitely convinced me that i have to get this palette!!
Aww!! Well, enjoy the palette! 🙂
Beautiful! I haven’t seen anyone who can pull off blues better than you do Christine!
Oh, wow! What a compliment. Thanks, Ashley!
Sorry Christine, here, your’re lip look drying, isn’t it ?
Nope, my lips have been fine! I do find that some frosty lipsticks tend to gather when I wear them, though.
this is so pretty and you would look even better with more of the grey color in the crease!!!
Thanks! I appreciate the suggestion!
Okay, I am going through your looks, just to see the difference between Dior shimmer blushes 😀 You look so CUTE in this FOTD! A bit different from current FOTDs as well.
Aww, thank you, Natalie! 🙂
that’s lovely and guess what Christine..you and I have the same sweater LOL
Haha! Twins 😀
