Look - Bright and Bold Greens & Teals

Another look 🙂 I really should be patient and space out my looks, since I don’t do my makeup everyday, but I can’t resist. I must admit, I’m terrible at holding things back, LOL! I tried false eyelashes again, and while I was able to make them work, it didn’t go quite as smoothly (nor as quickly) as the day before. I definitely need to throw this pair of 7s away, though, because one is totally shot! (By the way, still wearing Korres’ Watermelon Tinted Moisturizer in this look.)

Happy Monday! Hope your day is amazing!

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Kelly Green pigment (medium green), Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow (green-cast gold), Bio-Green eyeshadow (medium green), Prussian eyeshadow (dark blue), Atlantic Blue eyeshadow (bright violet-blue), Femme-fi eyeshadow (highlighter), #7 lashes (false eyelashes), Shade fluidline (dark forest green), Urban Decay Graffiti 24/7 Liner (green), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Laura Geller Golden Apricot blush (peachy-pink), Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer (bronzy highlighter)
  • Lips: Brave New Bronze lipstick (pinky nude), Tartlette lipglass (coral)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Femme-fi = Shroom; Brave New Bronze = Velvet Teddy; Tartlette = Lychee Luxe

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. With the 239, apply Kelly Green pigment with water-based mixing medium on the lower lid. On the inner lid, pack Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Bio-Green eyeshadow to the middle and outer portions of the lid. Darken crease with Atlantic Blue eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Prussian eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Graffiti Liner on lower lash line, and Shade fluidline on the upper lash line using the 209. Apply #7 lashes to upper lash line, then lightly apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Laura Geller Golden Apricot blush using the 129, then highlight with Dior Amber Diamond Skin Shimmer with the 188. Apply Brave New Bronze lipstick to lips, and then top with Tartlette lipglass for color and shine.

I really really like this one too Christine! The blue/teal shadows have really been looking great on you & I’m always looking for new ways to wear my greens & blues. Thanks for giving me some great ideas 🙂

Hi Christine! I love love this look! at first when i saw the eye photo, i chickened out thinking that it’s too bold for my taste, but when i saw the full face look, whoa! GORGEOUS…i have to try it out soon:) and i love the blush on you…i swear i’m dying to have that LG Golden Apricot Blush but I don’t think it’s available here in saudi:( Do u know any substitute from MAC? Thanks!:)

Oooh, this is a really pretty look! I love green shadows paired with peachy cheeks and coral lips. And every time you wear Tartlette, it makes me want it more lol.

wow! what a look. too bold for me, but i’m inspired enough to try it. looks like it can be warmed down with golds, bronzes.

and you’re so, so gorgeous that i hate you! :p

Christine, you look great with the fakes! Being a user of fakes for years, I have found that it is far easier to apply an eyelash if it is trimmed a bit. In your case, I can see in the 3rd and last pic that the eyelash might be a bit too long for your eye, thus making it a bit harder to maneuver it.

If you cut it down a bit (trim two little hairs on the inner corner) it will be easier to handle and to apply and it won’t pop up as much since the eyelash base does not curve like your own eyelid. Also, you might want to try a smaller angled out eyelash like the MAC Hello Kitty one, or the Ardell #301 or 305 .. I have been using the Ardell’s for daytime use and they are really easy to use and apply.

😀

Thanks for the advice, Izzy! 🙂 I think it’s more that it’s not quite placed perfectly (too far to the outer edge), since these have been trimmed down a bit already. Nonetheless, these got tossed already so I’m onto the next pair 🙂 (Otherwise I’d go to see!)

Oh pretty! Your lips look like the model’s in the picture for the Cremesheen lipstick ad (the one where she’s holding the telephone receiver)

This is kinda creepy…I was playing around with my M.U today and did a very similar look, xpt i used Bitter e.s over a white base thru the middle and end part of my mobile lid. The inner part of same lid had light green with matte yellow. Everything else was virtually similar with your end result!

Wow! I think i will have to buy those eyelashes. The last two looks with them look very good. And your hair is getting long, thats good. You look good with absolutely anything but long hair really suits you.
I find it difficult to put on false eyelashes though 🙁

I love this look. Really nice and bright! I love the way you have paired the greens with the blues. I’ve been thinking of getting Prussian for a while, so really cool to see it in some of your latest looks. What do you think of Atlantic Blue eyeshadow? I haven’t seen this eyeshadow before. Is it similar to any of the normal Mac eyeshadows (I think it’s a PRO product) or is it completely different? Thanks.

Bettina Avatar

aww man MAC has a kelly green pigment..that’s so cool. I can never find green that are bright enough for my liking but that one just may work. I love this look Christine, thanks for doing this one. 🙂

Bettina Avatar

Ooh I just recreated this look on myself and love it…don’t really like to wear greens to work but maybe on a day off I will do it again. 🙂

Bettina Avatar

I will Christine, I do greens on my days off. I work at Starbucks and since the aprons are green alot of times customers go oh how cute you matched your eyeshadow to your apron. Pfffft I don’t know what kind of a nerd they think I am but I was certainly not taking my apron into consideration when I did my make up that morning LOL… so it gets old.
